I just watched the first 7 seasons, the first movie, and Countdown to Liquor Day. Loaded up the next movie, "Don't Legalize It" and everyone looks so much older. Is this when it gets bad?
>>
I don't remember which season it was, but the Swayze express is the last good season. That season wraps up the show perfectly, every single character gets a wrapped up ending they could have left it. Literally every loose end is tied up and it's the perfect ending. All down hill after the Swayze Express season, complete soulless cash grab from then on
>>
>>220233928
This

Even by the seventh season the show loses its charm when it goes full HD. It just doesn't have the same cozy feeling of the earlier seasons. Don't bother with the Netflix seasons or movies thats just Bubble's actor squeezing the IP for more money rather than producing good content
>>
>>220233955
Bubble's actor was the brains behind it all?
>>
>>220233845
Season 7 and everything(movies/specials) up to don't legalize it. It's where it falls off.
>>
>>220234012
Not in the slightest. It was Clattenberg who made the early show as great as it was.
Mike Smith was somehow able to shoehorn his side character into one of the main three.
S5E1 Bubbles getting his face stuck in the badminton net is a good example of what Mike Smith brought to the show.
I will admit that his offscreen WHAT IN THE FUCK character Donny was a very good running gag, however.
>>
the show starts to go downhill slowly around season 4 but the Netflix stuff is awful, definitely just skip that
>>
I guess the turning point really is liquor day, since that's the last time they film in the original park. Don't legalize it is filmed somewhere else completely
>>
>>220234174
The Netshitz seasons are good for a single to watch to see just how bad things really are and get what few laughs you can. Because there are some laughs to be had.
>>
>>220234107
I think a lot of people downplay his significance due to his off-screen problems.
Bubbles was a great character early on and a large reason casuals like myself latched on so easily.

When the show no longer looks like it was filmed with a camcorder from the 90’s is when it gets bad.
>>
>>220234848
cock sucker called it the noble lie
>>
I like the Netflix seasons. I liked everything up to the animated series, personally.
>>
>>220233845
season 8 is what was set up as the show's ending, everything gets solved on it then in 9 it gets all reset to the status quo without any explanation.
>>
>>220235831
I thought S7 was the show's ending? It has the montage epilogue at the end giving every character's fate
>>
Was it the netflix seasons that added the tranny park security guard? I dont remember, but it was pretty awful at that time.
>>
>>220233845
I hate how they have to smoke cigs off screen at a certain point. felt more real when they did, poor people smoke.
>>
>>220238652
Ricky made a third wall breaking joke about it on something I was watching, said the network told him he cant smoke on screen anymore, so he said he tried e cigs and they sucked
>>
>>220235076
This.
The low quality was part of the charm. It helped sell the look of the setting being a run down hell hole.
>>
Are the out of the park episodes worth it?

>>220239953
the show is more about funny acting and situations there's not many jokes i busted my gut at
>>
>>220240698
i open pools for commercial properties before their maintenance guy takes over the service for the season and i handle it exactly like ray did in that scene.
>heres your shit

I remember the episode where bubbles made Kitty Land Love Center and Ricky made Garbage Land and they did a commercial together and it was super chaotic and during the scene transitions and music Ricky was falling over shit and put his arm around Bubbles and said "come down to kitty land bubbles will watch your cats, big time" and bubbles is crying and says "I will" I remember wheezing at the chaos of that whole scene
>>
>>220240762
well yeah that wasn't a straight up joke, it was a funny ass situation especially when Ricky sees Randy in the bumblebee costume.

You're never going to believe me but I'm a drunk trailer park supervisor and I fucking love this show.
>>
>>220240866
Do you have an assistant who you promoted to weekend supervisor?
>>
>>220233928
The way she goes.
>>
>>220240886
No. My aunt owns the trailer park and she doesnt have the budget to give me a staff. It worked out great for me when she bought the trailer park because I'm a high school dropout and had few prospects.
>>
>>220240934
Sounds comfy. Do you ever get to fuck trashy women late on their rent
>>
>>220233845
First 6 seasons are some of the best TV ever produced. It is all you need.
>>
>>220233845
the show starts to go bad the season where julian paints his trailer black and turns it into a bar. i dont remember which one that is

That's one of the Netflix seasons

Don't Legalize It is acceptable, it's the last thing the original director was involved with. The Netflix seasons are dogshit and not worth your time.

Don't Legalize It is especially depressing to me because the sky looks even more overcast than their typical shoot, and seeing the last appearance of Phil Collins having to get by on a mobility scooter under a drab gray sky is burned in my mind.
DLI is a real downer of an ending to the series if you stop there. Just about every character is in a bad spot there, like Julian selling clean urine samples and everyone calling him a piss monkey behind his back.

Also, Countdown to Liquor Day has one of my favorite title drops out there. Great scene.

Alot of people grew up near or in low income poverty tier areas like trailer parks. The characters are very relatable, or you at leats know people just like them. It makes it so much more real.

It was still pretty good even if the Swayze Express was a wacky concept. A lot of people also hated the return of Conky. They already thought the show was going to end after season five so they probably wanted to top The Shit Blizzard.
>>
Man I miss my early 20s. I'd just get drunk and watch trailer park boys whenever I wasn't in college class.
>>
>>220244627
The episode where they do the school presentation and Ricky throw a piss jug at the kids is one of the show's funniest single segments and it's in Season 8. But yeah overall, S1 to S6 are more charming
>>
>>220233845

i love all tpb seasons even animated and even jail. s13 kn tpb+ was supposed to release in april. all i can find is that its delayed due to bubbles raping someone. anyone know more? legalize canadian rape! (retroactive to cover past rapes aswell)

My favorite thing about him is how utterly devoid of responsibility he is.
Doesn't matter if he just did it 5 seconds ago, he didn't do it. If you saw him do it, that was just the way she goes.

Actually the decline is in season 7. Cory and Trevor were integral parts of the show. Even season 6 isn't that great which is odd considering 5 is arguably the best season so it's not like they lost "it".

Anyways, season 1-6, The Big Dirty/Countdown to Liquor Day/Say Goodnight To The Bad Guys are the kinos. Everything else can be ignored.
