Nastassja Kinski in Cat People (1982). Discuss.
>>220236228Haven't seen the film but Natassja is very beautiful. To me she has that old school Hollywood beauty look.

Isn't she--what would the polite euphemism be--a tad mannish?
>>220236734If by "mannish" you mean "overwhelmingly feminine", then yes.
>>220236228
She was sexy and scary.>>220236335Not OP but It's a pretty good movie.
For me, it's Tess

>>220236335she looks like a an attractive boy
>>220236734You're right that she is quite gamine. That's close to being boyish. Slim, short hair, etc. But she isn't boyish at all. She's devastatingly feminine.I can't think of another Hollywood actress in history who appeals more to the male protective instinct. (Audrey Hepburn comes close.)
>>220237358I got the order wrong I think. Shouda goneScreenplay < Direction < Photography < Nastassja
>>220236228>fucked every director she worked withI can only imagine how broken she was, being Kinski's daughter and all.

>>220237687Supposedly KK molested her sister, not her. I have a theory why he did that. It was insurance in case his luck ever ran out:JUDGE: Mr Kinski, you have been found guilty of twenty cases of rape, ninety cases of random lunacy and six thousand cases of being an asshole. Have you anything to say?KK: I plead insanity.JUDGE: Have you any proof?KK: Yeah. I have two daughters, one of whom is Nastassja Kinski, and I diddled the other one.JUDGE: Fair point.
>>220237946> Arielle Dombasle: "He's a guy who crushes the weak, the ugliest thing in the world, someone who loved power, who absolutely wanted to be loved, and who did everything to make sure we did not love him."[5] In his autobiography, Klaus Kinski claimed the sex scenes in which he participated in this movie were unsimulated.[6]

Imagine being Paul Schrader. Imagine every night after wrap on this movie, you go to your trailer or your hotel room with this 11/10 short-haired minx with this gorgeous toned body like it was sculpted by the devil himself to mock other mortals, and you snort a line of coke off her sleek stomach before making love to her while she sweet talks you in her sultry European accent. This happens every night basically for the entire 60 days or so of production, and probably started during pre production. Imagine falling asleep with her, exhausted not just from a hard day of work, but from a night of amazing erotic sex. Imagine waking up and this magnificent succubus is still there, and you take pains to not show up on set at exactly the same time so the cast and crew don't suspect too much. Imagine you fall in love so much you decide to propose to this out of your league goddess that seems to have chosen you. And then she completely ghosts you, disappears from your life, and leaves you heartbroken. Imagine tracking her down and she admits she was just using you for fun and to elevate her career, and you're another notch in her sadistic belt of directors that she's fucked over, literally and figuratively, and she even tells you that you were the hardest one for her. I'm surprised he didn't an hero. I don't think I'd be strong enough to recover from that.
>>220237358To be fair, it still is the best sequel to Porky's
