Why didn't you homos tell me this movie was kino.

The wife a cute
>>
>>220246065
It's overlooked horror kino. Maybe a little too stylish for a wider horror audience. In my top 30 horror films. Pre-Crossed but minus the gore and rape.
>>
>>220246065
Depending on the day of the week it's just above or just below Weapons.
>>
>>220246065

Isnt it a remake?
>>
>>220246681
*a superior remake. Yes.
>>
>>220246681
Yeah the George Romero original was like Troma/Asylum tier. Honestly it seems like the perfect kind of movie for a remake that takes it all seriously.

there were a lot of dawn of the dead copycats at the time
this one was one of the better ones
also quarantine
>>
It's a decent remake. The original is good too, although the ending sucked.
>>
>>220247062
More old Z grade movies with kino premises should be remade with everything played straight with kino acting and directing. It would be a gold mine if done correctly.

> when an american drinks their "clean and filtered" tap water
>>
>WHOAAA HAHA THE SMALL TOWN WHITE RURAL PEOPLE ARE GOING CRAZY AND KILLING THEIR FAMILIES THIS IS WICKED SICK DUDE
>retarded logic in almost every scene
>dogshit acting and dialogue
another typical "WHOA UM ACTUALLY THIS LOWLY RATED FORGOTTEN SLOP IS ACTUALLY HECKIN KINO!" /tv/ thread made by a fucking retard and/or Indian
commit suicide

It's honestly better than the original.
>>
>>220246065
No homo but i'll watch anything Tim Olyphant is in
>>
>>220247555
Were talking about the remake not the shirty original.
>>
>>220247555
k.y.s you lying faggot. Go eat your marvelslop.
>>
>>220247649

Agreed. Romero's movie was strangely dull
>>
essential olyphant flick
>>

Why are zoomers always so late on the uptake?
>>
>>220247716
sheeesh bro i was busy rizzing ur girl up lmao ain't got time to watch no old people shit when i'm hitting her from behind btw i drank all the milk in ur fridge when i was done, shit was SO cash
>>
>>220247242
Yeah no shit. Tarantino & Rodrieugez tried that with Grindhouse. It was a kino idea that went nowhere. Planet Terror is still the best high-budget 'B' horror movie ever made. Wish the trend caught on more.
>>

TRIXIE BRING ME SUNSHINE
>>
>>220246065
The scene where they ride the boat over the sunken plane is really cool.
>>
>>220246065
the nuke at the end was top tier retardation
>>
>>220247897
Planet Terror was made to be a meme though. It wasn't played straight. That's why to me it fell off towards the end.
>>
>>220246065
It's getting memory holed in favor of crossed, its inferior rip-off
>>
>>220247242
Pulp magazines are also a treasure trove of great ideas. Alien, The Thing, and Avatar all came from Amazing Science Fiction or similar publications. Surprisingly enough, I've seen some good sci-fi and horror in old spank mags like Cavalier too. I think the death of print media where fledgling authors could get their feet wet and find an audience really hurt the entertainment industry as a whole.
>>
>>220248057
that was the last resort in the original
>>
>>220248128
For me, its pastiche was complete and pat, which made it such a fun contraption. A really tight concept and delivery of exactly what it set out to be. Anyway, agree horror would be doing better "upscaling" great old B/Z movie premises with more sheen and played straight.
>>
>>220248295
It hurt culture as a whole.
>>
Would love to see a remake of The Entity.

Ghost rape is the scariest shit i've ever seen
>>
>tell me this movie was movie.
>>
>>220248295
Playboy was THE place for an up and coming author to get published back in the day. IIRC they paid something outrageous like $2000 in the mid-70s if they published your manuscript.
>>
>>220246065
The Crazies was kino, so was The Hills Have Eyes, Wrong Turn, and Dawn of the Dead

Tru
>>

Forgot it existed, just a drop in the bucket of 00s zombieslop.
>>
>>220249193
It's top notch compared to anything from current era though.
>>
>>220247555
brown
>>
>>220247555
It was a fun popcorn flick with decent production value, judging by your extremely negative, lengthy response to sonething this utterly unimportant, the one that should consider alternatives to living is (you).
>>
>>220247555
That's from the original. The remake takes out any political stance and just makes it a fun action horror film
>>
>>220247897
i always thought it was really funny that terror and wwz have the same savior scientist gets killed in a retarded way gag but played with completely different tones
>>
>>220250958
It’s a little sexist
