I go to movies by myself on my days off all the time but its usually matinee or afternoon hours but I have no shame in sitting next to a family if its the best seat. I also always bring in outside food and am drinking a mixed drink. They usually scooch over.
>>
costs too much
>>
>>220246943
The same thing that went wrong with shopping malls, Red Lobster, and Spirit Airlines.
>>
>>220247074
But what if they don't. I cannot imagine volunteering to hear their talking to each other point blank. But yeah, always bring in your own food, obviously.
When 300 released I was a retarded teenager and brought in a full cake, which I cut with a pocket knife and shared with my friends, I vaguely think that was because of a meme at the time.
The this is Sparta remix apparently still lives in my head, I can hear the main loop now.

>>
>>220246943
Most people have a large television at home nowadays
Also there is a lot more at home content, before streaming services everyone that was not a pirate was bound to buying dvd's or whatever add riddled movie was on TV
The cinema is outdated
do not invest in it

Very nice. The most ambitious i ever got was bringing in a 40 piece chicken Mcnuggets and a 12 pack with a couple of buddies to see some shitty X-Men flick
>>
>>220246943
>take a photo of some random guy watching a film to post on Reddit despite doing exactly the same thing because you're a pathetic attention whore
Unironically is why Redditors need to be gassed.

>Most people have a large television at home nowadays
There's a lot of valid reasons like blacks, prices, shitty movies, etc, and they're all valid, but this one is the theater killer. OLED tech is godly now and easily affordable for all, and a movie night with the kids, gf, etc are all easier and more enjoyable at home. It's up to Hollywood to make movies people can't wait to watch, and for whatever reason (money laundering?) they appear to be all in on their "lose tens of millions on every blockbuster" strat.
>>
There's nothing I want to see.
>>
They're purposely burning money at rates that my only takeaway is that it's purposeful. They're laundering money. No industry can tank so hard for so long and presumably not lose their position on the totem pole. Disney has been losing countless money for years yet they keep buying up franchises and sports, and then killing them while raising sub prices. It's all monopoly money bros.
>>
>>220248838
Yeah it can't be that these rich people who have lived in a bubble their whole lives and never interacted with commoners are making bad decisions, they must be burning money intentionally for some reason.
>>
>>220248838
it's probably like an MLB situation, they have so much money from when they used to be popular that they can afford plummeting ticket sales, for now. it's definitely not becoming less expensive to go to one.

I wouldn't mind going to see Akira in IMAX but it's only playing this weekend at my local cinema and there'll probably be more people there. I'd rather go in the morning during the week since it's practically empty then and I'm unemployed anyway.
>>
What is there to watch at theatres this year?
For me it's
>Odyssey
>TDAC
>Backrooms
>Godzilla
