>>220251089Crank is actually a masterpiece and I tell people this all the time. The whole purpose of it was to make an excuse to distil the action movie into its purest form, and then make it work. It's not something to be analysed too much, but if you watch it, take note how it sets up the entire plot within the first 60 seconds, and then gets straight into the action. Plot is used minimally, there are no subplots, no character introspection, but more than that, there are no establishing shots, no lingering, no padding. Everything is pure. Crank is a fucking masterpiece.
