Yes. TV shows are advertising slop. Not saying I don't enjoy shows myself but compared to a good film, it's not even a contest. No show has ever been perfect from episode 1 till the end.

I don't really watch TV on TV though, so I don't watch ads. But I'm guessing you mean the way they are structured nerfs themselves from being higher form of art like film in order to sell ads.
I just don't enjoy sitting down and watching something for 2 hours without pausing, unless in a theatre.
