What is the greatest film significantly featuring a train?
>>
>>220266866
Yeah it's probably the Orient Express. Hitchcock made two thriller movies about trains too.

This has trains blowing the fuck up and crashing the fuck into each other. Kino.
>>
There isn't much train kino because in America we don't use passenger trains very often. And hollywood is the major producer of movies. Source Code is pretty good.

GOLD
The General (Buster Keaton)

SILVER
Runaway Train (it's a mixture of shlock and great but overall pretty great)

BRONZE
Murder On The Orient Express (pretty good fun actually. Very watchable.)

HONOURABLE MENTION
Northwest Frontier is OK if you like old-fashioned adventure.
The Taking of Pelham One Two Three is maybe overrated but it's OK

DISHONOURABLE MENTION
Strangers On A Train (If you must have a Hitchcock then The Lady Vanishes. But he is the most overrated filmmaker of all time.)

The 1974 version if you want a really good detective film. However, the 2017 is perfectly watchable, it's comfy if slight.

orient express is without a doubt one of the laziest pieces of shit I have ever seen. the entire film has no establishing shots, and it just cuts around talking heads of actors poorly reciting dialogue from the book. literal goyfeed nothingburger lmfao

where the Indian keno
>>
>>220268700
why would you need establishing shots on a fucking train?
>>
Terror Train is tranny/train kino. Ellis from Die Hard is bonkers in it too very cozy lighting/winter atmosphere. Canucksploitation at it's finest.

For me, it's racing trains in Siberia

>Krai / the Edge (2010)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1706414
>>
>>220270074
>The action takes place shortly after the end of the Second World War in the Siberian hinterland, among Russians and Germans with damaged personal stories and a strange transformation: the victors seem to be crawling into the skins of the defeated, and vice versa. Ignat, is the embodiment of the larger-than-life image of the Soviet victorious warrior who, in fact, proves to be shell-shocked, sick and broken, although not completely destroyed. Trains become fetish for the heroes of the film, and speed becomes a mania; they virtually become one with their steam engines, while the machines take on human names. The heroes set up an almost fatal race in the Siberian forest, risking their own lives and those of others.—Anonymous
