Lucas(because of course) decided he liked a slutty red Twi'lek Sith apprentice of Maul tempting a legacy child of the OT characters notion, and this whole "Maul recruits a female Twi'lek to the Dark Side and runs a criminal empire from the shadows" pitch was one of Lucas' old Sequel Trilogy ideas. The Disney version just shifts the story into the Dark Times so it doesn't interfere with their garbage Trilogy and will, no doubt, completely remove the whole "mistress of seduction and temptation" aspect of Talon.
