it had some of the makings of a varsity kino but the writing is so fucking bad. every 5 minutes it devolves into someone giving him a hard time for being black, it’s incredibly lazy. possibly the most predictable, cliche “race” movie ever made. it’s like it was written for a 6th graders history class. anyone who thinks this movie has anything important or meaningful to say is completely out their mind
the movie is about getting over generational blind racism and learning to judge from the content of character
