>>220275115People will buy the modern house faster and for more money than they will buy the classic house. /thread
>>220275115does it not rain in america or something
>>220275115The one on the left is considered middle class and gauche. Things get redesigned for the rich, and they only care about differentiating themselves from the lower classes
that doesn't look like the same house at all, structurally.
>>220275115>It's got so much character!>Also termites, a leaky roof, and a cracked foundationThere was probably a real reason the house was replaced you chicken little onions boy millennials
>>220275198This photo was uploaded to Redfin in 2018…the address is 3878 Alonzo Avenue Encino, California.
>>220275115If you knew anything about old houses you'd know they're absolutely fucking trash besides material. Old houses were designed in a terrible way that they expected the home owner to be a handyman and know how to upkeep it through decades OR if we go to even older houses it was expected that you had servants and caretakers of the property to fix whatever would happen to the house. Because they were designed to look pretty but were absolutely dog shit.
>>220275159says who
>>220275321People who want a new house and don't want to dump an additional 100k to a house that you're selling and you didn't take care of.
Modern architecture all being 100% shit was probably my first redpill moment. I just could not understand it. >>220275295My house is a hundred years old and it's nothing like that. It's also made out of better materials by much better builders. It's in great shape with little maintenance.
>>220275336What is the need for the change in architecture. Why not just fix whatever is wrong with it without changing the style
>>220275115the house on the right is "brown coded" and they are hoping a family of browns brings them a big suitcase full of cash for it
>>220275205>houses made literally out of woodAmerican problem
>>220275115They don't want anything that reminds them of boomers.
>>220275115>from mcmansion to ZOGPodWow what an upgrade.
>>220275261It looks like somebody wacky lives there.
>>220275485Yeah we know, termites generally don't eat mud/cow feces, so you'll never have that problem. Good for you.
>>220275115this was probably because they didn't want indians taking selfies on their property
>>220275115The real answer is that almost every house in the US is made out of plywood so after a certain number of years it starts to disintegrate. What happens is people buy the property then leave 1-2 walls standing so it counts as a "remodelling" and not building a new house so the permits are easier to obtain.
>>220275633>almost every house in the US is made out of plywood My entire subdivision is cinder block construction
>>220275261>soulless handrailOSHA can eat my ass
>>220275390What's wrong with it is often directly related to appearance. Things like shitty materials or poor sunlight exposure. If you use other materials you have to go out of your way to make it look older, and that probably won't even bring customers
>>220275115Builders love white modern buildings because it's woke
>>220275542Thats not even a mcmansion since it wasn't built to look like a mansion. it just looked like a 5 bedroom house
>>220275847Lol shut the fuck up. Diminishing architecture is a core component to Marxism
inb4 the home alone house
>>220275115>ARE THOSE...RECTANGLES WHERE MY TRIANGLES USED TO BE? THE VVEST HAS FALLEN!
>>220276249This but unironically.
>>220276249I say this.
>>2202751151. Why do stupid fucking twitter faggots phrase everything with "we"?2. Why do you, shithead jeet that needs to neck himself, post twitter garbage on /tv/?
>>220275115The answer is obviously money. Where once you had an expensive house that you couldn't even rent in this economy because no one has enough kids anymore, now you have two small affordable ones.
>>220275159This is the best and actual reason why they do this. The market says this is the most popular thing that sells like hot cakes
>>220275844then go live in china, you mongrel
>>220275192not in southern california
I really do not understand flat roofs. How do you not get leaks all the time?
>>220275192I live in Northern Utah and I want to tear out my lawn. We like to pretend we don't live in a desert, but it's a fucking desert.
>>220275192Modern architects don’t know how to build something that lasts. They get cracks and water damage, bad staining and many other problems
>>220276553Make a rock garden and add desert plants.
>>220276482It looks flat but it has a slight pitch
>>220275115Did they subdivide? The new house is not as wide as the old one.
>>220276482They do leak more often. Architects do it because that’s what they were taught in school
>>220275115>"I don't get how this became the American dream"Man, shutchyo bitchass up, ain't nobody ever said dat shit.
>>220275115Was the exterior of this home ever used beyond the establishing shot transition? The interior scenes were filmed on a soundstage, that's the real Drake and Josh house.
>censored on google mapsThis is the cringiest shit ever. I was looking around my area the other day (nothing special) and saw a blur, but it was just sort of the roof of a house, seemed almost like a glitch, then I realised it was the house in the street behind it. Like the owner was that pants on head skitzo they made google blur even the slightest peak of their property from other angles. Also the houses next to it were mostly blurred out too because you could see parts of the property from there. Looked like a huge fucking mess. If you were the neighbour and you gave you address to someone and they looked it up, they'd probably think you were a skitzo that wanted your house censored because of how much it bleeds out. Also photos of the entire property (inside and out) were easily available on real estate listings so good job, you accomplished nothing.
>>220275261>This video was just uploaded to redchannitfuck those yt bastards for taking it down
>>220276386Yea. It's basically a glorified desert outside the mountain areas. The problem is the weather is so great that any random plant will grow here and idiots will spend tons of money and water to keep it alive. We barely get twice as much rain as Phoenix which is one of the driest cities on Earth. The invasive plants also grow like crazy and then die during droughts and create a perfect tinderbox for fire season.
>>220276920Go home, gamer girl.
