It was more stylized than Nolan´s since it goes with a simplified neo noir comic book lighting and shot design and it even takes after some comic books like Hush and the long Halloween so, in that sense, it is a better Batman movie even if it has had less cultural impact. It´s certainly not at the level of Burton´s, TAS or movies like mask of the phantasm, Under the red hood or return of the Joker though. Only time will tell if it will be able to set the identity of the caped crusader for the next generation like those did but it doesn´t seem likely. That said, that´s probably better than setting the wrong image like Nolan movies did.

3 hours was not enough. I want more insight into his version of Batman. I felt more like I'd just picked up a random 10¢ comic where Batman solves some simple case. The Penguin did help expand the world a little but the fact that both Batman and Bruce Wayne have no presence is still a damning indictment on the Reeves-verse. I just don't understand whats going on in his mind.

Even Gotham was awful because even though they used Venom it was simultaneously trying to ape the Hardy Bane and the fact that there was no Batman meant someone else had to get their back broken.
