>>220281406Tintin 2011 is one of the best adventure films ever made, I was skeptical because I generally hate that kind of animation but do yourself a favour and check it out if you haven't.
>>220281931I really like it too. It does get a little bit too silly sometimes in the set pieces but thats forgivable.
>>220281947Yeah there's a suspension of disbelief that only works because of the animation. The same action pieces that fell on their cgi face in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull landed much better in it.Also on that point I guess to OP - Dial of Destiny flopped. Uncharted did ok but didn't have the kind of effortless success Jurassic Park does.>>220281976Kek.
>>220281406What are some decent historical adventure films that came out in the last 10 years?
>>220281406It ain't Lee Cronin, and if it ain't Lee Cronin I don't even wanna know.
>>220281427>fpbpWell done. Take this (You).
>>220281406Jumanji: Open World, coming out this year.
>>220281406>Whatever happened to adventure movies? How do we bring them back? It's a different world to 25-ish years ago. Look at a movie like Danny Boyle's The Beach (2000) where the entire conceit of the film rests on a hand-drawn map leading to a secret paradise. It is almost completely implausible in today's age with the internet and smartphones having demystified almost everything.
