Are you ready to talk about Cuunyosa's ovaries?
>>
>>220287102
Oh yeah, it's without doubt the king of the wokeflops. (no profit, lmao)

ayy lmaos like her have no ovaries
>>
Only part I didn't like was that nobody seems to recognize her or even suspect she is the little girl who ran away years ago.
>>
>>220287059
the marketing was just bad. the trailers made it look really cheap like the CGI and effects were actually worse than fury road somehow
>>
>>220287059
just watched it and i enjoyed it. hemsworth stole the show, he was great as dementus
>>
>>220287167
what about the many chud movies that flopped more?
>>
>>220287059

Why not just do another Mad Max movie?
>>
>>220287328
It had some stuff that looked rough but then again so does Fury Road
>>
what was with the praetorian jack dude? why make him like a proto-max?
>>
>>220287059
I was surprised how much was taken from the video game
>>
>>220288299
yeah i wasnt expecting scrotus to show up. also gastown looked reasonably close to the bits you see in the game (outlying areas notwithstanding)
>>
>>220288299
Especially strange considering Miller talked shit about that game. Perhaps he shared his notes with the game studio at the time and some of the ideas ended up being reused in Furiosa
>>
I'd watch a version where it's just 90 minutes of her getting fucked in every orifice while she's chained down as the camp hole.
>>
>>220287059
sexosa
>>
>>220288408
Rally? What did he say?
>>
>>220289082
>Miller also spoke candidly about 2015's Mad Max game from Just Cause studio Avalanche. He said plainly, "It wasn't as good as I wanted it to be." Upon reflection after that game came out, Miller said, "I'm one of those people that I'd rather not do something unless you can do it at the highest level."

Anyone else feel like the movie was oddly quiet? There was that one scene that had lots of bombs getting dropped from above, onto the dementius or whatever and his crew, but the sound effects were nearly non-existent
>>
>>220289149
Well it was a pretty mid game aside from the beautiful environment. That's a fair take.
>>
She was really cute in The Gorge.
>>
>>220287059
have a theory that if Anya had stayed sexy, her career would still be alive and well
>>
She's like 90lbs soaking wet. It's hard to imagine her as some wasteland badass. She'd just get raped and turned out or made into dog food. The movie itself is OK, but they over used CGI. It was also too similar to fury road so whenever you watch it you just wish you were watching fury road instead.
>>
>>220289545
Fuck do you mean ok
It was trash
>>
Thoroughly enjoyed furiosa
>>
>>220287059
It would have made so much more money had it come out a couple of years after Fury Road. FR didn't make a whole lot of money but the word of mouth was unreal. It's so frustrating that they took so long to make this, there's no way Miller has enough time for another one
>>
>>220288299
>>220288363
>>220288408
The game got commandeered by Warner iirc. They stole his notes and somehow kicked George off of the project. It's amazing that we got Furiosa. They ruined his game and refused to pay him money they owed him and went through a lengthy court battle. Even after that he still wants to make more Mad Max stuff with them.

>>220287328
I see this often and while this movie was in theaters I talked to other people about it but they had no idea it had released. It sucks that the advertisement didn't reach fans. Movie is great.
>>
it was kino
>>
>>220291342
he was fighting with the suits over profits IIRC, it ended up delaying production. also fury road was an insane production from start to finish, with like 200+ hours of footage thay had to be edited down, the followup was always gonna be a step down
>>
>>220291342
It took so long to make because Warner Bros. refused to pay George Miller the bonuses for Mad Max. They had to got to court over it, once that was done they immediately started making Furiosa.
>>
>>220287059
The 15 minute fury road sequence in the middle is pretty great. At least the first half before Anya becomes the focus and it's clearly shot on a green screen.
And Dementus steals the show whenever he is on screen.
But yeah for the most part I found it to be a downgrade from Fury Road.
Especially the music. Junkie XL scored both movies and Furiosa is so low key comparatively for some fucking reason.

Box office flop bitch lost
>>
>>220291693
I found really weird just how mute the sound and score was all throughout Furiosa when I watched it at the cinema. I understand keeping it subdued during the first half of the film since you're not into the full blown chase madness that comes later but even during the driving scenes with the truck later a lot of the time there's just no music whatsoever, and even when there is it's nowhere close to anything like in Fury Road
>>
>>220291693
They didn't really use green screen. There's making of videos on youtube. Most of it is practical affects and post editing. Pretty much everything was hot outside in the Australian desert, not in a studio.
>>
>>220292267
I know that they did for the first half of the scene but about halfway through it starts looking really fake. Basically when the Octoboss shows up. And I think it's because they needed Anya on the warrig and couldn't just use stunt people anymore.
>>
>>220290992
Nah it was okay 6/10. The real world isn't binary

Absolute kino. I rewatched it the other day because I remember it being good and it was amazing. What the fuck is George Miller doing to be able to make two unbelievable follow ups to the original mad max movies 40 years later.
>>
shame about the wasteland

Yeah the BTS basically confirmed my suspicion. They didn't want Anya on a moving vehicle so all of her stuff is shot on a green screen or on a stationary war rig.
>>
The movie was good because it involved several real mad max war-cars and isn't entirely CGI slop. the CGI slop is tasteful, scenes are still dominated by real humans and real prop-work. the story was at least as compelling as fury road, and the set of characters for both movies continues to be a treat. It's absurd, it's highly stylized, and it's entertaining and other than strong female protagonist it's not shoving fat thick loads of DEI bullshit into your face and tarnishing the franchise (yet)
>>
>movie makes Immortan Joe out to be incredibly sympathetic and reasonable
>his wasteland kept people safe and with supplies
>Joe doesn't even try to force Furiosa to be his wife again. He lets her become a driver after she reveals herself.

Makes it really confusing to watch Fury Road ngl.

>I'm one of those people that I'd rather not do something unless you can do it at the highest level.

Has George seen his own filmography? lol
The Mad Max movies are the exception.
He is generally not a good director or writer.
>>
>>220287102
It really was.
>>
Did anyone here watch Furiosa first?
I feel like watching Furiosa then Fury Road would make Furiosa a better movie

We shouldn't have doubted him.

Furiosa is great, but it wasn't made to top Fury Road.

My chart is much simpler: review scores don't matter at all
