Why can’t /tv/ admit it’s kino?
>>
>>220299589
That would imply reddit is kino, while /tv/ films like joker are hard flicks.
>>
I dont care what /tv/ says
it was a good movie and way less cringe than The Martian
>>
>>220299589
Because the film is, despite everything, a hopeful film about finding connection with others and not being a miserable loser, wallowing in your own self-pity.
>>
But it IS kino, we've had threads with hundreds of replies and dozens of anons saying they would die for Rocky
>>
>>220299589
No annoying women or brown people in it.
White guy turns back to save his alien buddy at the end because there is nothing for him on the postmodern earth.
>>
>>220299589
What if I thought it was just ok?

/TV/ NIGGAS REALLY OUCHEAR WYLIN!!!

>because there is nothing for him on the postmodern earth.
He could return as a hero and get endless pussy for the rest of his days

But in a more serious note, in the books his decision to return for Rocky is a bit more noble. He was running out of food, and Eridian food is poison for humans. So he actually resolved to die to save both Earth and Erid. It was a nice conclusion to his character arc, from being too cowardly to go on the mission to being willing to die for someone he cared about.

He survived by eating taumeba and then taught the Eridians cloning technology so he could grill meburgers everyday
>>
They did the Zyzz pose lol
>>
>>220302098
The movie left it open if he would return or not.

what movie did YOU watch?

Reddit slop

but the Ad Astra ending was trash
>>
>>220299589
Because it's not. If it were released a decade ago it would literally be generic sci fi movie #26.

The only reason it stands out is because its an average movie released in a way below average era of awkwardly forced race swapped feminist trans positive turbo queer garbage.

It's a great movie. I dont think it will be looked back on as a classic, but it was worth seeing in a theatre. Solid 7.5/10
I haven't been in many threads about it but I imagine it's just a lot of indians and asians and white autistics calling it reddit. That's part of why it's such a good movie, it's a story of pure optimism with our extremely unlikely, reluctant hero rising to a task that was forced upon him. Forced on him simply because they believed he could do it. And he did. And everything turned out fine. Kino

Funko pop opinion
it's reddit slop
>>
why grace literally me, question?
>>
>>220304717
The ending is mostly the same in the book except we don't see Earth, Rocky just tells Grace that our sun has returned to its previous luminance. My theory is because everything that happened would have drastically changed how life on Earth was, not just environmentally, but a whole bunch of new tech was invented, national relations would be different, shit like that and the author didn't want to go into all of that when it doesn't serve the story.
I don't mind the ending because it makes sense for Grace as a character.

Explain why you think that.
>>
It's the first thing that's felt like an actual movie in six years.
>>
>>220301822
Ryan Gosling was literally the only white man in the movie with any speaking role lol, even in the background extras there were probably like only 2 other white men
>>
>>220304829
This. Hollywood is dead so when they can produce something decent it feels like it’s amazing compared to all the other trash they shit out
>>
>>220299589
Stratt singing Sign of The Times was the best scene in the film
>>
>>220299589
It was mid
The rock is okay in my book
Sending a retard in space and hanging all the hopes of humanity on him is retarded
The goose acted as he does but the scenario is trash
