ye. breaking bad season 1/2 is peak. there was effort put into the double lives of walt and jesse. the breaking bad world is far more interesting without supervillains, and the main characters are more relatable with their struggles. it's the same reason why better call saul is a better show when jimmy is just trying to be lawyer and devolves into vinceslop when gus/cartel comes into center stage. breaking bad jumped the shark when the twins showed up

Outstanding premise. Surrenders under zero pressure to cheap drama moments and audience pandering with character writing. Basically unwatchable after season 3.

Did incalculable damage to the popular canon of modern day television with the 6th season onwards. There were some good moments of political intrigue but it's like a fucking sightseeing tour where nothing is allowed to settle.
