the eternal debate
The Wiggles beats them all
>>220315103Breaking bad a is a toddlers show next to HBO shows, there's no debate
Breaking Bad is fun, Sopranos is boring as shit
>>220315153Watch both again and your opinion will turn 360 degrees
>>220315103There's no debate. BrBa is a cartoon Marvel show.
Sopranos is clearly the best of the big 3, better than the wire, the shield and breaking bad shouldn't even be in the same category.
>the shield >big 3
The Sopranos and it isn't even close
>>220315341this
>>220315289They're both fun in different ways, sorpanos is a little smarter when the chips are down though
Sopranos is boring. I put it on and it's just some garbage man whining to his therapist??? I thought this was about mobsters, you know like tough guys what the fuck?
>>220315103The wire is better than both
>>220316800Right, whatever happened to the strong, silent type?
I enjoy Breaking Bad for what it is, but it's really not in the same class as the Sopranos.
>>220315153>>220316800this
>>220315103Sopranos was better at giving the characters flaws that didn't feel forced and reminding you that these were shitty people without cockslapping you in the face with it. With Breaking Bad I got annoyed every time Walt's stupid ego entered the mix like when he got pulled over and raged at the cop for giving him a ticket and ended up getting arrested. It always felt childish. They wanted him to be undone by his flaws, but never worked those flaws or their effect into the plot in ways that made sense. With Tony, his ego is part of what keeps him in charge. When he beats the shit out of his own bodyguard, it's the smart move since the injury that made him even need the bodyguard was making him look weak, and weak people get replaced. His character flaws keep him in the world that then requires him continue to feed those flaws. Even with all of Dr. Melfi's explanations for Tony's behavior it still felt more subtle than anything Breaking Bad would do with Walt.
Without the Sopranos taking chances on having a scumbag main character, BB wouldn't even be made
Breaking Bad is a cinematic masterpiece. The Sopranos is a really good sitcom.
>>220315103The Sopranos. Always
>>220315103>no mentions of many saints of newark
>>220315103I'm currently slogging through Sopranos. I can already tell it didn't need to be six seasons long.Boomers will defend it because muh depressed sociopath sigma male so relatable.
Mad Men > The Shield > Breaking BadThe Sopranos was shit
>>220315420>sopranos>wire>shieldSo is this now the big 3 for /tv/? Because I accept this.
>>220315150Mad Men is better than HBO shows though
>>220315103BrBa is better when you’re watching them for the first time. Sopranos has 10 times the rewatch value.
>>220315103sopranos is better, but the gap between it and breaking bad isn’t as big as people on here think.also, try to come up with your own opinions about breaking bad instead of regurgitating the “live-action cartoon” shit
>>220318221Sopranos, Rome and Shield
>>220315103isn't it weird how they had an entire arc about Chris Moltisanti being a drug addict, including an intervention, and Gandolfini, who was heavily into drugs and booze and going on benders and disappearing for days off the set is standing there playing it straight the whole time.
>>220320357I feel like /tv/ isn't a big fan of Sopranos
BB is capeshit
>>220315153t. Noah Tannenbaum.
>>220315103Walt shits on Tony from a great height. Walt could handle Tony's life with some adjustments, there's no way a knuckle dragger like Tony could handle Walts life even after years of training.
>>220315103Breaking BadThe editing is better, the cinematography is better, there is a lot of forward momentum, no filler, just entertaining all around. The humor is also way better integrated since it arises naturally from radically different personalities clashing as opposed to in The Sopranos where characters pause for a second in order to tell a tryhard joke (le interior decorator) and expect the audience to laugh.
>>220315103The SopranosI'd rather watch Oz again before rewatching Breaking Bad, and Oz was pretty fuckin gay
>>220315103why does there need to be a debate though? people can enjoy both shows
