I tried to watch it after the overwhelming praise it gets, but dropped it into the second season. It is not great, I would argue it doesn’t even reach good most episodes. It is a serviceable product of its time, and people like space operas, so it filled that niche for a lot of people. There are worse shows for sure, but don’t expect anything actually remarkable.

The politics and chaotic wars make sense. Some of the side characters and minor conflicts are dumb, but I can excuse that. I love the ships and their efforts to show realistic physics and future spaceship battles. I just wish they'd had tossed more money at it so there could be even more battles and suit combat. Plus finish the last three seasons
