This is such a stupidly enjoyable movie to me and easily my favorite of the riddick movies.

Just wasn't a huge fan of the chosen one thing, and I've seen other media fall to this I'm looking at you Homeworld 2.. Third movie feels visually like too much of a rehash but it was decently entertaining.

while i enjoy chronicles, riddick had a chance to be the greasy, grimy sci fi property that pitch black set up, a niche that was never really satisfactorily filled. i remember reading somewhere that the ages of all the characters in the first movie are given in ranges (30-33 etc) because of relativity while they're lightspeed traveling. and riddick was way cooler when he was just a hyper-competent murderer who was found in a liquor store garbage can as a baby, and who had his eyes shined by a whackjob prison doctor for 20 cigarettes, not last chosen one of the ultimate warrior race. chronicles should have taken place entirely in crematoria and been a prison break movie
