Gunn's Superman barely shows Clark Kent, which is a big shame. A major aspect of what makes Superman interesting is the time he spends pretending to be a normal guy.

Batman v. Superman is my favourite Superman movie. Not perfect but it has a lot to say, looks great, has great action, everyone feels well cast, it's just a good ass movie I like how Snyder takes material that's kinda goofy and pulpy and takes it completely seriously until it actually passes as high drama. It's suchnan incredible sadness Rebel Moon isn't getting more movies.I liked the James Gunn movie too. Funnily enough, I felt it kind of retreaded a lot of the themes and plot beats of BvS, just adapted them into a comedy. And they still worked,nl whichnI respect. I liked the pulpy look, I liked the way how it basically jumped in the deep end with its world building and just committed to this world where super heroes are normalized. Found a lot ofnthe humor pretty funny and appreciate how it commited to some really stupid jokes. Loved the ending, the "video of his parents" thing. And yes, it does have the best girls. Eve is such a cute bimbo!And this is probably gonna disqualify me from the conversation but I did not actually like the 1978 movie. I dunno, Christopher Reeve was great, obviously, but the rest was just alternating between boring and corny, and not in a good way. That super cartoony portrayal of Lex and his henchpeople... I don't know, I just felt like I was watching an episode of the 60's Batman show without any of its actual wit. People love that movie but it didn't do it for me at all.
