Does Spider-Man work better as his own thing rather than as part of the avengers ?

Avengers Spider-Man is like the kid superhero. Sort of insecure and needs other people to help guide him. Alot of people like Holland Peter, other people felt betrayed. It depends on who you ask.

Absolutely. Spider-Man was a solo hero for 40 years worth of comics. Sure he always had a lot of team-ups, but he wasn't even in the Avengers until the 2000s.That said it's not a bad thing if he happens to be in the Avengers, as long as he still has his solo stories.

Holland Spiderman is dogshit
Superhero is nonsense bullshit and so on, but EVERY ONE OF THEM works best as its own thing and in a contained universe in which they are the one and only hope.It makes no sense for Spiderman to kick street goons in NY while aliens are using magic to burst through other universes or whatever. If the things in the Marvel universe were real, all of these characters would be tossed out and all of the tech. An army of soldiers equipped with super serum, hulk gamma power, wakanda vibranium ironman armor infused with asgardiang magic and extract from the radioactive spider that bit Spiderman.
He works best with other NY characters.
