Nearly 40 (FORTY) years, HUNDREDS of capeslop films costing TRILLIONS of dollarinos and STILL no one managed to top this kino. how come?
>>
>>220336582
I never cared for it
>>
batman 89 is kinda boring
>>
>>220336582
Superman '78 is better. But I agree, it's still the best Batman movie.
>>
>>220336582
I'll take every single Nolan trilogy film over this boring slop.
>>

Somebody get this nolan head outta here
>>
The soundtrack, motherfucker
I like. BATMAAAAN (BATMAAAAAAN).

>boring

Sorry your retarded nigger asses can’t sit through an actual story line without needing CGI slop in your faces every five minutes. Modern cape slop is absolutely repugnant on every level.
>>
>>220336751
>I'll take every single COCK over this tight pussy
Okay... you do you
>>

This man rubbed another man's rhubarb.
>>
Why do people hate that Ben Affleck kills when this Batman killed people? he even killed the Joker Batman is a fictional character so whats wrong with him killing? besides Batman started out killing in the comics

Burton is a terrible director and even he thought the second half of the film went nowhere. Awful movie propped by nostalgia.

>Cool Aesthetic
>Great Score and Soundtrack
>very entertaining performance from Nicholson
>Interesting take on Batman who is subtlety very unhinged and mentally unstable

It's got a lot going for it and walks the line between being dark and serious and cartoonish without going too far in either direction

>Interesting take on Batman who is subtlety very unhinged and mentally unstable

Quite the tonal shift for normies and little kids like me who never read the comics but still watched the 66 reruns on nick at night

Batman is a Gay icon

Nicholson was initially paid around 6 million dollars (still considered high) but his contract also negotiated based on how well the movie did. He supposedly earned around 60-90 million after all was said and done and became the highest paid actor to date

>skulks around back alleys
>preys on vulnerable men
>skintight form fitting clothing
...oh my dog
>>
>>220337235
He made even more than that. He's still making money from the merch sales to this very day.
>>
>>220336582
batman's core vibe is walking a tightrope between dark-serious and light-goofy.
it's really easy to fail and most have, especially in the movies.
>>
>>220337357
For sure. I think the 1989 film does the best job of straddling that line. Begins/TDK have their fair share of camp and jokey moments though.

This was boring to me even as a kid. I saw this after being familiar with the animated series and it felt like step down in anyway. The Joker was unfunny and most of all had a boring plan. Kidnapping the hero's girl, seriously? You have the joker and the penultimate plan of the joker is that he wants the hero's girl. So cliché and boring.
>>
that scene where joker falls off the tower and briefly turns into 1980s claymation and did that weird scream scared the fuck out of me as a kid
>>
>>220337468
you wouldn't get anything close to this kino in a modern Batman movie.
>>
>>220337468
watched these 4 movies with my wife (claimed to like batman movies and had never seen them) and she said "perfect" when this happened
>>
>>220337470
>have the joker and the penultimate plan of the joker is that he wants the hero's girl
His plan was to gas the city in that giant parade if you remember. Apparently one of the producers had a giant bell tower commissioned without telling anyone and it just showed up on set one day so they had to quickly rewrite the ending.

"Boring slop" is exactly how I'd describe the Nolan flicks. Keep seething, fanboy.
>>
imagine if they had gotten robin williams to play joker like they had originally cast
>>
>>220337604
Your movie got completely memory holed because the dark knight was so popular. It made everyone realise Nicholson was a hack plating himself as the joker.
>>
bait used to be believable
>>
>>220337357
I think Batman works best when Batman is the straight man among the silliness of all the villains. The Arkham games benefitted from this
>>
Best actors of a generation
The best director of a generation
Huge sets like a city street
Best batmobile
Best composer and orchestra in history
Plotline that starts very slow and established every character but continues ramping up throughout the entire movie.
Not bad.

It's okay to admit you're retarded, anon
>>
>>220337656
nta, but people have been souring on the Nolan films for years now. Tastes change. The tone of the Burtman film was exactly what was needed in 1989. The post 9/11 tone of the Nolan trilogy is dating itself.
>>
>>220336582
WB used to be insanely competent

Also they'd been trying for years and years to get a Batman movie together and they knew they had to get it right

Prince songs aside (and I like Prince) the movie is near unformly compoesd ot great creative/production decision-making

It's true retard. People think Burton deined hard but he was always shit. He shittiness was just hidden by the cinematographers, art direction and Elfman's scores. He just got exposed hard.
>>220338363
Only TDKR has a bad rep. Occasionally some idiot who likes the latest batslop takes a swing at TDK but that doesn't mean it's general reputation has declined.
