>>220341729The only way I could rationalize that statement is similar to how George Lucas took a bunch of author genres like Samurai films, WW2 films, Arthurian Legends... and made an entire saga out of it inspiring a whole new universe, Homer did pretty much the same by taking existing oral myths back then and essentially stitching them together into making long poems about it.Remember, "Homer" (whoever that nigga may have been assuming it was even a single person) did not "write" the illiad and Odyssey completely from scratch.
