Fred is an actor married to Rene, an actress. They're both going to do a new movie with producer Dick Laurent, with Rene portraying a character named Alice. The director of the film is the Mystery Man. Andy is another actor in the movie. Fred becomes increasingly jealous of Rene, who is sleeping with the director, Andy, and Dick. Dick and the director are at the head of a massive conspiracy of Satanic Hollywood pedo elite who have violent, horrific orgies with their Hollywood buddies. The director is chiefly concerned with the ritual aspects, whereas Laurent is just a violent pervert. Rene and Andy are both very involved in these rituals. Fred committed heinous acts to get the success he has, but it haunts him. He grows increasingly unstable and disillusioned with his Hollywood life, and the producers take note. They have him stalked and threatened. When Fred goes to the police they expose him for his past indiscretions, sending him to prison and the electric chair to silence him.
Pete is a young up-and-comer cast to replace Fred. As his time on the film goes on, Pete begins to learn more and more about the immorality of the Hollywood people he is now surrounded by. Eventually he witnesses the Satanic rituals and orgies first-hand and kills Andy. The Director then kills Laurent, who had become less and less careful about covering up their deeds, and frames Pete for it. At the end Pete is chased down by the police to be silenced as well.

White cucks (timmies) are impotent losers living in illusions and paranoia, the biggest icky and most impotent action a man can do is to kill a woman (chuds and incels take note), this retard kills his wife and is now waiting for the electric chair, consequently he goes insane and everything that you see from the prison cell onwards is his delusions until he gets electrocuted
the end

It was directed by David Lynch. David Lynch rejects typical storytelling, so don't look for it. Every time something doesn't make sense, it's because of David Lynch.
And David Lynch doesn't have an explanation for any specific nonsensical thing in his movies. He will not elaborate, so you don't need to worry about meaning.
Once you know that, all of his movies make sense.

“The film is the thing. You work so hard after the ideas come to get this thing built, all the elements to feel correct, the whole to feel correct in this beautiful language called 'cinema'. And the second it's finished people want you to change it back into words. And it's very, very saddening. It's a torture. It's the film, the language of cinema. When things are concrete [there's] very few variations in interpretation. But the more abstract a thing gets, the more varied the interpretations. But people still know inside what it is for them. And even if they don't trust their intuition, I always say that if some girl named Sally... she comes out of the theatre 'I don't have a clue what that means!' She goes over with Bob and Jim to get a cup of coffee. Bob starts talking about what he thinks it is, because he knows exactly what it is, he starts talking. Five seconds later Sally 'No, no, no, no, it's not that!' And all these things come out of Sally. So, Sally really did know. For herself. That's the beauty of it. It’s just like life. You see sort of the same things, but you come up with many many different things as you go along as a detective. [...] You have everything in the film, that’s the thing. It doesn’t matter what I say. Zip! It can only be a negative. The thing is built so you don't wanna take anything away, and you don't wanna add anything to it. It's complete. That's it.”

― David Lynch

chud couldn't live with his wife being a sex worker before she met him, dismembered her and dreamed up a world in which she is wooed and won by his greaseboy persona

in my opinion the greatest horror movie ever made

The film clearly folds back in on itself, so either the entire thing is Fred's fantasy or he ends up living the loop in hell after he's electrocuted.

If I remember correctly, the electric chair thing is only implied.

Why are you so obsessed with "getting it"? Either enjoy the movie or don't. Not everything has to be a fucking wiki article where it's broken down and explained.
>>
>>220344500
Pullman ruined the movie for me. Has the looks for a chump, but he never shows how all this weirdness affects him more than skin deep.
>>
>>220344559
basically this. David lynch was inspired by the OJ murder case and trial when he wrote this movie. the husband kills the wife, and its so horrible he invents a whole alternate personality to try and rationalize it, but in the end is still guilty.
>>
>>220346668
always won? what the fuck are you talking about? Incels always end up taking over society and getting sex slaves?
>>
>>220347155
there's no loop, you dumb fuck

First of all, you need to calm down and unrustle your jimmies.

Wild at heart is lynchs worst movie.

>>220346668
Most embarrassing thing I read all week.
>>
is this like the 9th gate? or silent hill etc?
>>
>>220344500
David lynch was inspired by the oj trial at the time and he also wanted to dunk on Tarantino for shitting on him for Fire Walk with Me and for ripping off Wild at Heart with Natural Born Killers. It's a story about a guy who mind breaks in death row for killing his wife in pure rage and invents a story in his head how he wanted his life to play out and they both collide in the end. Also a psa for bad drivers, that scene where Dick Laraunt beats up that tailgateer. David Lynch, Dick Laraunt (DL).

the film is often described as a "mobius strip", it's a loop of denial and a metaphor for the life someone like OJ Simpson (or ironically, David Blake) would have to live with after killing their wife but denying it. having to live this constant lie and effectively be a whole other person around everyone in your life to maintain that lie and the strain it takes on you.

>>220346193
i could be misremembering but i swear i read an interview where Robert Blake directly stated that he thought his character was supposed to be "the Devil" but i can't find it anymore, i could have just invented it.

>>220347155
Lynch often uses electricity to indicate supernatural events, so it can be seen as both. and even as a metaphor for the electric chair as punishment and death for committing a crime which is part of what tortures Fred.
