There really was a show here focused on Homelander and him dealing with the torture he went through as a kid, how everyone is always trying to manipulate him, etc. despite him being this literal God amongst men. Trying to raise his kid to be a decent person despite having no need to beyond personal reasons. Coping with loss and how no one can truly love you because they are scared of you even when you try to do right.The guy is a hell of an actor and you can see it constantly even in shit scenes he's given.I'd say Hughie, Butcher, Ryan, and Homelander should really have been the almost sole focus of this show from s1 and instead of nonstop dicks and sex jokes they really should've leaned in more to the darkness and grim nature of the world. Where are we ranking Bombsight? People seem to be overestimating him a bit because of his durability but he semed more like a turle in his shell. Skin hard enough where even soldier boy who made Homelander bleed with one punch this episode was hurting his hand when punching him carelessly but pretty much done for the moment Soldier Boy grappled him. He almost got wrestled down to death twice by him so clearly his physical strength isn't on the same level either. The second time around Soldier Boy seemingly even figured out his weakness and just went straight for the grab.His skin seems as hard if not harder than Soldier Boy but his insides were clearly softer than his skin since Soldier Boy almost killed him with a pipe and could have broken his neck without much difficulty. Unlike Soldier Boy who is a fortress all around he seems to have a very exploitable weakness.Still top 3 and even slightly above the likes of Maeve considering how easily he dispatched Butcher. They can both give trouble to Homelander/Soldier Boy but they don't have any real win con.Still, it feels weird that there are so many supes that could put up an actually good fight against Homelander. He should've killed an old supe at the retirement home, fracturing his relationship with Kimiko. Lean into Butcher being morally deteriorated as a result of being taken over by his Kessler psychology. Divides The Boys. Kino scene would be him eventually losing his humanity and human shell and becoming a Resident Evil tentacle monster going all out to try and beat Homelander. This would bring about the climax of hinting from Homelander seeing what's going on "inside" Butcher from his X-ray vision, finally letting the viewers see what he's become.>Hughie/Annie>Kimiko/Frenchiethey're the same archetype of "my powerless man is fragile and I dont want them to die", to make them different, make Hughie anti-Butcher/virus, Annie pro-Butcher/virus, Kimiko anti-Butcher/virus, and Frenchie pro-Butcher/virus.
