Looks beautiful and the music is great, but Schrader sympathizers too much with a fascist for me to give the film my fill throated support

Thought it looked awful.Like a collection of abstract student films.I came away from it knowing absolutely nothing about the man because it utterly fails at telling the viewer anything about him. Other than its attempt to make him seem like a lunatic, which he may very well have been - but a biopic should be at least slightly informative and not some random nonsense series of mini vignettes with the most tenuous relation to the subject.
