Nerd loser x athletic girl is lowkey and under-appreciated pairing. It’s so much better than the standard Stacy x nerd trope it’s not even funny
>>
>>220354376
It is the pairing in 90 % of all animes though.

>>220354346
wasn't he friends with the fat guy and the nerd?
>>

he could've done better

Girls used to be better
And you could discipline them easier too
>>
I don't even remember what she does in the movie. They book flights to Paris which is how the government finds them, then she's not in the movie for a while, then she pesters her parents to let her come help him or something
>>
>>220356578
She literally doesn't do anything. One of the glaring flaws of the movie.
>>
Sometimes guys just have an abysmal personality or vibe even if they're normal looking
>>
>>220356988
What do you mean by vibes?
>>
>>
You gotta be more like this guy if you wanna land a french floozy
>>
>>220356578
It's funny how she just flies from Seattle to Grand Junction CO or wherever on a whim, normal for a teenager to do back then
>>
a strange game
also a complete lie

I really like this movie but it's sorta crazy that it starts with this "nerd" having a hot athletic girl just hop on the back of his bike and then he takes her home where, iirc, that's where they finally introduce themselves to each other. What's crazier is that she then comes back on her own later, and she's hot. The movie is good and their relationship is really cute but man, if this is indicative of any kind of reality then boomers really did have it turbo easy. It's crazy now seeing young women who should just be cute normal young girls like back then but now they are all tattooed up for no reason and their heads are filled with sewage ideas that makes them unattractive if you have any kind of brain

Looks like one in 2026

My last ex had mannerisms just like this and also looked like her and a mix of Emma Watson a little bit. As retarded as it was for me to break up with her she was allergic to all dairy and seafood and it was super annoying going out with her because of that. I didn't want my theoretical children to have that dietary restriction as well + I don't think I could handle that for the rest of my life, so, amongst a few other reasons, I broke up with her
>>
>>220354346
Yes, back these society still knew not to trust that tribe, and correctly found them to be too ugly to be popular. Decades of subversion and now you can't even tell them apart from actual humans.

she's the hot piece of ass side-kick, actually quite purposeful.

This guy looks like he'd be really annoying to get stuck on a ferris wheel with.
>>
>>220358927
She was only 21 years old you sick fuck
>>
>>220358960
oh snap, i never fucking realized that's the same actor in another great early 80s film - 1941!
>>
>>220358899
was this guy the inspiration for one of the nerds on Simpsons?
>>
>>220359009
I'm just glad someone got the reference. I really feel like not enough people have seen 1941.

the only flaw in this otherwise perfect film is the ending where we are gypped by not getting to see where our hero landed as a young adult. He needed to be shown in a 2-3 minute trailing epilogue of: briefing going to college > dropping out > getting recruiting by NSA > doing some kino giga glow niggering shit > saves the world yet again... or > starts his own tech corp > becomes beyond successful > creates far better world than our current clown reality.... or > idk > lots of ways to send him off into the world...

I think it works because she's not attracted to him, she's attracted to his magical computer that can change grades.
It would be unrealistic if they were already in a relationship when the movie starts.

this, she's a typical female who will use men for whatever she needs them for, in this case she gets dopamine hits off magic computer that talks and nerd who can help her cheat her way thru school... a very old tale actually, similar to 'the world's oldest profession'
>>
>>220354376
Yeah but they never show the nerd as he is, fat and pathetic (source: he's me). It's terrible wish fulfillment because it basically says "yeah see girls like nerds (but not you lol)"
