Moonraker was extremely based but it should have been his last movie. You literally cannot top going to space and he was starting to look very old. For Your Eyes Only should have been Dalton's debut, acting as a soft reboot.
FYEO as a "soft reboot" is stupid because it instead pulls OHMSS and Bond's own backstory into the soft-rebooted Moore run (LALD is a rehash of Dr. No) and deboots it into a unified Bond seriesConnery is Lazenby is Moore is Dalton is Brosnan
once again a movie I watched yesterday has a thread about it the simulation is lagging
>>220363427OHMSS is not canon and I will die on that hill, DAD starts in Japan as if that movie never happened
>>220362844>it should have been his last moviecompletely agreed, i think the camp getting higher and higher and just climaxing with moonraker would've been a nice cap off to moore's era. still, i love moore.i did not care for FYEO.
>>220362844>never went to the moon>no rakes seen in the entire picturechekt
>>220363532*DAF
>>220362844It's a fun time but it's also easily his worst Bond movie. Give me Octopussy over this shit any day
>>220363532there is no canonevery Bond movie exists in its own universe
I like to think of North Sea Hijack as an unofficial roger moore bond movie. He's so fucking good in it.>hard drinkin>gets shit done>hates women>talks openly about how much he hates women>loves catsBased.https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081809/
>>220362844I loved that shit when I was a kid. Totally jumping on the Star Wars bandwagon, but i loved it anyway

>>220364873closeevery Bond movie is free to acknowledge or ignore the events of all other Bond moviesin practice that has made mini-series of Bond movies, like the ones that have SPECTRE and the ones that reference Tracy and the ones with General Gogol, and the ones with Felixa fortunate thing is that the entire time they were trying to incorporate harder continuity, and it always fell apartSylvia Trench from Dr. No was supposed to keep appearing, and eventually have a larger role. Jack Lord wanted too much money to come back as Felix, so the character became a shapeshifter. Lazenby would have starred in a direct sequel to OHMSS. Walter Gotell was too old and sick when TLD was made, and the culmination for Gogol had to be delegated to a Pushkin, a new character. and Pushkin was supposed to be in Goldeneye, but that fell through so they invented Mishkin. Barbara Bach was supposed to be in AVTAK, but that fell through and the made up character to replace XXX is a generic KGB agent and the scene ends up being stupid and unnecessary (but somehow still great)it's good that these things didn't work out because even if any one of them would have been neat, the extremely spotty continuity works in the series' favor. start with whatever movie you want, watch in any order, watch as many or as few as you want, it all works equally well
>>220362844One of my favorite Bond flicks but I guess I’ve never seen the DVD cover… why’d they put Tucker Carlson on there?
