All that military tacticool stuff is campy af so I wouldn't have the main character be anyone from the games.I'd shoot it from the POV of a random human observer, like the new movie sort of seems to be doing.I'd have him encounter various paramilitary groups throughout the movie though, like watching from a distance some of them clearing an area before being overrun, etc. Bit like Cloverfield without the shaky cam and 1918.
