Po came from nothing and was repeatedly told that he was nothing, but achieved his dream because of his willingness to change. KFP2 even directly states that your past doesn't define you. that's the core optimistic yet realistic message of almost every Dreamworks film

>>220365909My favorite thing about KFP1 is the juxtaposition between Po’s story and Tai Lung’s story. Po’s story is mostly a slapstick comedy, befitting his clownish character, while Tai Lung’s story is extremely dark and dramatic. So when they meet at the end, it’s such a tonal clash. Po humiliating Tai Lung and overpowering seriousness with goofiness is the ultimate victory, and much more satisfying than simply physically overcoming him. I can’t think of any other media like this
