Is the zombie genre tapped out?

You could say this about every single genre. I think hollywood is tapped out.

Weirdly? No it isn't. The Walking Dead is still getting new seasons for its spin offs. The Walking Dead lasting for as long as it did also shows there is legs in zombie shit. 28 Years Later: Boner Temple flopped in part because of the complete lack of marketing, it literally came out too soon after the last one. It was bizarre. I always thought of it like this. Everyone always wanted a GTA open world style video game with zombies. But new zombie video game after new zombie video game and it never came. The demand is still there and yet the genre also felt tapped out. Similarly, all people ever wanted is the Walking Dead comic on the screen. Yet the show and all the other zombie shit never scratched that itch. So whilst it might feel tapped out, all it takes is a show or movie to scratch that itch and people would be back into it again.

except the walking dead and 28 years later were both shit

The Walking Dead fans are retarded. I couldn't even make through two episodes before I killed myself.

boring, not real horror, you probably like 'thrillers'

Why'd they retroactively make this big dicked Pacific Islander zombie black during his flashback to when he was a kid? Were we not supposed to notice the kid was a completely different race from the adult? Is Danny Boyle unable to put his cuck fetish away for two seconds?

I like the idea of zombies but I hate when they become unstoppable super predators that can effortlessly work in sync.

This, zombie movies are so reddit coded that these mfs genuinely think they could survive a zombie outbreak and not go insane after 3 days of not being able to sleep since you'd be terrified that a zomvie would be able to break in.
Never understood the obsession with zombie movies as the average person would probably go insane and start crying after a few hours dealing with zombies.

We need less zombies and more aliens
