The worst thing about HoTD is that it's undiscussable. There's either the women stans on Xitter who talk like in-universe peasants about Alicent and or Rhaenyra or there are the people who think it's the second coming of S8 and everything about it is an horrid unsavageable mess.It feels like thinking that it's a decently, overall enjoyable 7/10 with pros and cons, good and boring characters is the least-liked point of view.

The pacing is the #1 problem. It's not just that someone unrelated to the Others kills the Night King, it's that someone unrelated to the Others kills the Night King with zero buildup and they get defeated in one battle.But of course, the greater problem is that you have people who still claim seasons 5-7 were good and Season 8 was magically the only bad season.
