But I do think the way the anime did it was better in having the major not plan the abandonment out so much, it seemed more of a natural development and I think the background and abilities of the characters in the novels seem excessive at times, I prefer that there are more ordinary people in the anime, and some of the plot advances too quickly how did the post office buy the railway station, get there, and set an ambush WHILST the train was moving? KekHowever...the novel does have more worldbuilding, and more fleshing out of the characters, and certainly more resolutions to the sub-plots.
