first her character somehow catches up to him despite him going in a straight line toward the laser thing. Then she makes a dumb face before crashing into him, both going full speed (never mind how they know how to pilot these cruiser things on a planet they’ve never been before), they both walk out of the wreckages and she says “we can’t kill the things we hate, we need to save the things we love”. Meanwhile, she is part of a fucking army that is at war

This particular character ensured that no matter how much the copers tried to twist and turn they simply could not stand what she was doing to the movie. It was a mistake to leave her friendships with Rey and Finn out of the final story. Just because the actress was harassed online and action figure didn’t make enough money or something. Billions of dollars of potential wasted. If TFA worked, letting another director take over was a mistake. The final movie was a slideshow of crap, where the FX team were carrying the entire load of the movie. Poor palpatine and Lando had to try to lift up the movie. I haven’t been able to finish yet. Writing more Kelly Marie Tran scenes or better scenes for minor characters would have fixed some of it. Its like they did’nt watch the first two an didn’t listen to criticism about the plotlines. Even in TFA there is some missing character moments…kinda like the droids are barely characters…or han and leia barely part of the plot.
Id love a reimagining book, that fixes everything.
