The show is great. People dog on the ending but I think it's a great way to end. Jack effectively sacrifices himself to the island to become its shepard for the betterment of everyone else. The meeting in heaven as I understand it is that they only then get to appreciate what jack did for them after everybody had lived their normal life without having to think about the island.
