2/10, not scary in the slightest. Also didn't need to be two movies. Considering how much you have to cut out just to make this book filmable, there's no reason you can't appropriately fit in the general storyline and themes of the first half in 60-70 minutes, and the second half be 50-60, if not shorter. It was a mistake to adapt (and alter) each individual scene of each kid with the some of the worst CGI ever produced. You don't actually need each kid's unique fear realized in a goofy, extended "scare" sequence. All you have to do is establish their fear, show two major ones, and then realize them overcoming it as a group. THAT'S the story. Nobody cares about the nigger or his backstory and nobody wants to watch a ten minute sequence with him.Similarly related, the TV show prequel is one of the worst things I've ever watched.
