I was surprised they had him star in such an expensive looking movie, the only other think I know him from was playing Gambit in that one Wolverine movie.

>Kyle Chandler gets steady work too, albeit mostly in supporting roles
Kyle Chandler may mostly get supporting or side roles in films, but the shear number of major blockbuster or huge budget films he has been in is impressive.
“Mulholland Falls”
“King Kong” 2005
“The Kingdom”
“The Day the Earth Stood Still” 2008
“Super 8”
“Argo”
“Zero Dark Thirty”
“Broken City”
“The Wolf of Wall Street”
“Carol”
“Manchester by the Sea”
“First Man”
“Godzilla: King of Monsters”
“The Midnight Sky”
“Godzilla vs Kong”
“Slumberland”
These aren’t even all of the films he has been in, just most of the ones with budgets in the tens of millions of dollars, or hundreds of millions, or films with major stars at the time or films that got Oscars, or Oscar buzz.
Chandler was also in a leading role in at least four TV shows that lasted a couple years or more.
For most actors, this would be considered a career in the top .01%.

>did anyone have a career after GoT?
All the Game of Thrones actors who already had decent acting careers before the show went on as normal with consistency.
The actors who tried to use the show as a springboard haven’t fared as well, but some still have careers that are fine.

Sophie Turner was in a couple things that bombed, but she has other lead projects in the works so she might wind up fine, but it’s really too soon to tell.
Maisie was the or a lead in three separate shows after Game of Thrones ended, “Two Weeks to Live”, “The New Look”, and “Pistol” and has a sequel to “Practical Magic” starting Sandra Bullock to be released.
Maisie is also British, and British actors who want to get work can usually continue getting work for decades, they just sometimes have to take supporting roles, but even established British actors get put back in the trenches or side or supporting roles on a routine basis.
Other actors who have careers despite not being well known before Game of Thrones.
Bella Ramsay, Richard Madden, Alfie Allen, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jack Gleason, Robert Aramayo, Iwan Rheon, etc.

Her and the other cast members deciding to call it quits before the fourth film was made probably pissed off a bunch of Hollywood executives, and some of her political activism probably didn’t help, especially since she protested a pipeline project, that then got shut down, then Trump got reelected.

Robb's actor has done fine. Momoa and Pascal became big stars. It's the main cast of youngsters that never really made it outside of GoT despite some pushing (mainly for Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke). Not that uncommon for young actors who are on a big show for years and years, that tends to remain their biggest role.

Being an actor really seems so tragic. Your career can flop at any moment and you'll be a has-been. Or it never really takes off. There are only a few actors whose careers are admirable like the top A-listers such as Tom Cruise, Daniel Day-Lewis, Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep and so on. They can do whatever they want artistically.
Better to be a musician or writer.

>>220423429
That's why being a character actor is the patrician choice.
>don't have to worry about becoming overexposed
>greater variety of roles
>much easier to survive flops
>steady work
>can still lead a relatively normal life

Bad example because she is already where she clearly wants to be, making money. She has a huge social media following and uses it to shill products 24/7, and to command producer credits and bigass paychecks for the Enola Holmes films. I don't think her interest lies in acting for its artistic value, just financial. She reminds me of the Rock in that regard, all about maximizing revenue and "brand".

>In February 2022, it was reported that Kaluuya had "abruptly" fired his agents at the Creative Artists Agency as well as his personal stylist, publicist and multiple assistants. It was reported that he was influenced in these decisions by a person known as "Heir Holiness" who described herself as Kaluuya's "personal manager" and "life strategist" as well as the "Head Mistress" of "The International Alma Mater, Blessed University.". She has further claimed to have degrees in holistic health and "Parapsychic Science" from the American Institute of Holistic Theology. Sources told Page Six and Matthew Belloni that she was on set during the filming of Nope and her behavior "caused people on set to be concerned about her influence over" Kaluuya.

Afaik, right now he has no roles because he's in charge of WH40K and considering they are having their leftard "let's change the canon to include women" angle that they've been having recently, that project must be a mess right now.

Cast actually didn't do that bad compared to other huge shows. Most of them parlayed their fame into turns in mega franchises, a few succeeded, The others still managed to have decent careers in TV. Either leading well reviewed, well liked TV shows or continuing being prolific character and supporting actors.

Arya and Jaime are probably the biggest lost opportunities.
