It's pretty much reddit meets netflix meets globohomo feminism. Basically it's feminism the movie made to hypnotise the viewer into thinking "white men bad" and "POC women good". There isn't really much more to this dreary film than that.

I saw it when it came out and I remember two things:
>the life is a game of inches speech
and
>I'm Willie (Beaman)
>I get the ladies (steamin)
oh and the guy getting his eye knocked out which would never happen in a football game

I remember Cameron Diaz went into a locker room full of naked nigs

Some old player apparently got tackled because he was trolling o e of the extras. Shame that some guy couldnt handle the banter and teasing of an older colleague. I just remember the music video and the speech in the locker room.

It's an Oliver Stone movie and it's filmed in a curious but visually interesting manner, bursting with vivid colours, and lots of fades, montages, wipes and other editing styles. There is a loose storyline about upstart negro kid and burned out old coach needing to work together to succeed, with a few other subplots about aspects of american football.

It's quite good, I'd give a 7 out of 10.
