Has anyone seen this show? Is it as good as the 1973 movie?

>>220420630I watched it, it was okay. Little overlap with the movie except some key scenes that they copy for status I guess? It's a great looking show with lots of beauty shots of various Euro locations (kinda like a Bond lite globetrotter feel). Unfortunately once they start getting bogged down in their backstories it kinda grinds to a halt. The overarching plot doesn't make too much sense either, and it feels like they wanted to set things up for more, and part of that is making sure The Jackal is a heckin' wronged villain with a heart of gold. If they didn't try so fucking hard they'd have one of the best modern spy/assassin genre miniseries. As it is, it's fine and worth a watch, but won't blow your mind.

>>220420630Seen em both.Of course it's not as good as the movie.The lead actress in the show is absolutely terrible.The constant music montages are really bad.They shoehorned in some gay sex.But overall it's a watchable show i guess, just don't expect the quality of the original film.
