What stuff were you watching in 1999?
>>220421543The Matrix
>>220421543This
>>220421543I was born in 1999 and I've never had sex or a relationship
>up late at grandparents house>basic cable so nothing but paid programming after 1-2 AM.>listen to the weather channel and their weird after midnight experimental music choices while playing pokemon red on my gameboy
>>220421543Clueless the TV Show was very underrated, they had the entire cast but Silverstone back
Simpsons, Futurama, Sopranos, WCW Monday Nitro, RAW, Buffy, Angel, Dawson's Creek, Roswell, Smackdown, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Boy Meets World
>>220421941Sounds comfeee
>>220421543phantom menace on repeat
>>220421543i remember there was a gundam wing marathon playing all night on Y2K, pretty sure it was teletoon
>>220421543mostly Conan, SNL and Kids in the Hall reruns on Comedy Central, South Park, pretty much everything Comedy Central was playing at the time like the UCB and Strangers with Candy and the good Daily Show when Colbert and Carrell were there
>>220422356The Critic and The Tick reruns almost every night on Comedy Central were my jam too
>>220422390CANADIAN!
>>220421543Rugrats
Cartoon Network and TOS reruns. In 99 I was probably bummed out Dexter's Lab wasn't back.
>>220421919same but I was born in 1995
>>220421543King of the Hill, Mad About You, Home Improvement, and Spin City, to be completely honest. I saw a lot of sitcoms as a kid. I'll throw in Caroline and the City too since I just remembered it yesterday, for some reason.Mostly, I was a cartoon and Comedy Central kid, though. Cartoon Network, specifically, with some Nicktoons like Rocko, Ren & Stimpy, early Hey Arnold!, and of course Spongebob. When Adult Swim came along, it was kind of a perfect melding of the two channels' spirits for me; but that's after the year you asked about.
>>220421543Just Shoot Me, MST3K, occasional Friends, South Park and Simpsons
>>220421543hentai_dragon_girl_anal.avi
>>220421543VHS recordings my mom made over the years because we didn't have cable and my country only had 3 tv channels.
I had 2 channels so I watched whatever shows played on them which were >King of the Hill>The Simpsons >Becker>Cheers>Just Shoot Me I watched them all but didn't really care for the Ted Danson offerings
the inside of my mom’s womb
>>220421543mad about you is actually mega comfy, probably the best 90s sitcom after seinfeld and frasier and maybe friends
>>220423263Even as kid it struck me as ridiculous that Helen Hunt would settle for a little jew goblin like Paul Reiser
Why can't we go back to simpler better times? Like we have sites that stream "live" TV but they're more like playlists of the same TV show for an entire channel. If they actually had a variety of programming per "channel" maybe more people would watch it. There was something nice about just letting the curator set the programming for the day and just being able change channels if you didn't like what you saw. >>220421941Comfy.
>>220423560I have 2 channels set up on my plex server that just rotate different kinds of content. If I'm not feeling what is showing on one channel I just look at the other, and this is the most enjoyment I've had watching tv/movies in a long time. Sometimes less choice is better. That movie or tv show that you would never watch while scrolling through your content takes on a bit of a different meaning when it just comes on your tv.
the simpsons on syndication
>>220423560>Why can't we go back to simpler better times?because the tech industry has ruined the entire world
>>220423560No this is better with the exception of channel surfiing.>nothing is onUsed to be quite literal when you run out of channels
>>220421543Probably Blue's Clues or the Teletubbies or something.
I didn't have much time for TV in 1999. I'd catch an episode of the Simpsons or a Bond movie on TBS.
>>220424596Then you go on teletext and mess around until something you'd like came on, was like a shittier but somehow comfier internet
>>220421543I miss the goddamn TV Guide like u cannot fathom, comfy, mindless....it was like the no anchor weather channelNo commercials just information scrolling about. Fucking kino.
>>220423221>didn't really care for the Ted Danson offeringsbased and correct. kid-me thought becker was just “old man yells in waiting room” and cheers was something my dad laughed at while I waited for the simpsons to start. king of the hill into the simpsons on a shitty local affiliate was basically a cultural education though. half my sense of humor is just hank hill reacting disapprovingly to something.
Any of you guys remember the City Guys theme song?
classic simpsons 6-7pmback to back seinfeld 7-85 fucking days a week
>>220421941Experimental smooth jazz plays over the doppler radar showing your impending doom.I miss it.
>>220421543Whatever was on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon at the time.Spongebob, EE&E, Powerpuff Girls, Rocket Power
