I have insider information. After Alien Romulus 2 the studio wants to move in a different and all new direction with the Alien movies. Rian Johnson is being eyed to write and direct in order to completely change genres. It is reported that Jenna Ortega is being eyed to join Cailee Spaeny as Rian Johnson will turn the Alien franchise from horror to lesbian art house. Reps from Jenna Ortega have not responded yet to inquiries about confirmation.
