there's an ungodly amount of syndicated-tier schlock that apparently I'm the only one who sawthis one sticks out, and there was another one that aired on Cinemax in the late 00s that was high concept sci-fi that would then have a gratuitous soft-core scene in the middle of it

Sometimes you'll have a story that only makes sense in the deep south with black people saying "oooh child!" and they'll be like yeah, this happened in the South, South Philly, you know, in the swamps with the wooden shacks, and other times you'll have farmlands and midwest rockabillies. I'm always surprised they didn't go with an FBI angle or pick a more culturally ambiguous city like Baltimore. Although, to be fair, I don't know a lot abouy Philadelphia.
