Everyone gets Kripke'd in the finale. The man has no backbone, this is the same guy that kept Supernatural going for 15 seasons. He has no sense of scope and hides behind meta commentary to excuse his inability to write. His climactic armageddon showdown between Michael and Lucifer was 4 guys standing next to an Impala in a grassy field. He also tried at least twice to get a spinoff for Supernatural during its run. He is a conveyor belt showrunner who is good at building a consumer base and then milking them with the IP. This will be Stranger Things S5 all over again except that Kripke has his legion of fans that will excuse every single aspect of the finale and beg for spinoffs to consume.

Their first fight was filmed almost a year before the finale so it would just become a joke having this dude on screen any longer without having him do something.
