I rewatched it last year and while the romance plot and the general Troy feckless drama is just as bad as you remember it; the rest of it holds up amazingly well. It was a good time, the fighting was visually interesting, Achilles was the emotional heart alongside his concubine, and overall it was a positive experience.So yeah, I apologise. It was almost as good as I remember it and not nearly as bad as I convinced myself it was in the years after. It's not a sophisticated movie by any stretch, but it has a lot of great action. The chariot scenes in particular were cool.
