Or orange filter if the movie was set in Mexico or the Middle East

Those 4k upscales are also fucking abominations.

A lot of demasters can also be based off of really dogshit console ports since those will be the most recent builds/source code they have on file

The dogshit Mass Effect remaster is based off the PS3 version is is why loads of lighting, shadows and animations are completely fucked

seriously though WHY is it always blue filter? Did some jew do a study and find out that 2% more people are going to buy the bluray HD release if they slap a blue filter on it?

Blue = cold = bad, how else is the audience supposed to know that Napoleon is the bad guy of the story?

a while back I heard that it's basically a boomer conspiracy to cast historical roles with old men, so that boomers can stroke their own egos, and because it aligns with the modern gerontocracy we see today where we're all ruled by 80 year old politicians.

They don't want us to remember just how young so many major people in history were when they came to prominence. Napoleon, Alexander the Great, so many of America's founding fathers, you name it. Can't let the goycattle think about that.
>>
>>220453120
i knew a thousand boomers growing up and none of them were like that

The various releases of the Matrix(s) are the worst example of this because the colour grading actually has story meaning, and they still didn't fix the fucking mute muffled speech in Matrix Reloaded

Mmmm, yeahhhhh, about that......
Uhh, I don't know how to tell you this, buuut... you kinda.... remember it wrong?
Sorry. Real sorry.
>>

The thing with the original matrix is that there are so many versions of the color grading that nobody even KNOWS ANYMORE what the original look was. I saw it in theaters back in 99, but the format I was most familiar with was the DVD release. I can't even remember to confirm or deny whether the original film release looked different.

>blue light make mammals apathetic, compliant and actually protect them from hurting themselves
>ozempic' "side effect" make fatties apathetic and compliant
>people have to comply and obey to get mandatory vaccines for centennial "pandemics", all made to protect people from hurting themselves
>global camera surveillance and only ID verifications to actually protect people from themselves
>fluorine in water etc.
so many strange coincidences...

if I'm remembering right, the original cinematographer confirmed the DVD is accurate to the original color grade, which is more or less completely normal and is bright and colorful throughout
it wasn't until the sequels where digital color grading had gone mainstream that they retroactively pushed the whole "Matrix screens = green, real world scenes = blue" thing
>>
>>220453308
>>220453309
If a director decides to change the colour grade between the theatrical and video release, then that is their decision to make. That's why they're the director.

Back then kine are being filmed with actual film camera - with film prints and lens filter, therefore kine, technically, has been 'graded' by the DoP with his calculative measurement of looks during the filming process/production itself, some are even goes into kelvin calculation for an even more detailed measure. Color grading was never a thing until stupid digital comes out and every shot have this high contrast from format like slog, log, etc.
Stupid company like criterion, for some fucking reason, have no idea about this thing and they treated those original film as digital slop despite scanning and restoring the entire film themselves, leading into the replacement of original film looks to youtube color grading looks

I disagree. For example, Ridley Scott butchered Blade Runner when, years later, he decided to add the dream sequences of the unicorn, thereby implying Deckard is a replicant. This completely undermines the entire narrative of the original film. The whole point is that the replicants showed more humanity than the "real humans" like Deckard. If you make Deckard a replicant, what's even the message of the story? And for what? So you can have a le epic twist at the end? Something that Ridley just thought would be cool a decade later when he read a theory about Deckard being a replicant from a fan and decided to just throw it in?

You aren't.
