>>220452778Why would I watch myself?
>>220452832whats an unc?
>>220452897>whats an unc?i'm guessing uncle?
>>220452897means useless nigger cattle
>>220452913yeah i think it just means uncle.i dont get it, its supposed to be an insult?
>>220452778Already did, it was very good, nice to know hollywood can still make nice movies
wtf is this film even about? Is it Drive in space?
Nope, I shan't be watching anything new.
>>220452957>wtf is this film even about?i only saw the trailer when the trailer first came out a while ago. i think it's about some guy trying to prevent the sun from exploding or something.
no I don't believe that science is realmagic however is
>>220452957It's a movie about interspecies friendship
>>220452967>Nope, I shan't be watching anything new.i watch trailers and think, 'hey that looks pretty good' and then never watch the movies.
it was about 35-40 minutes too long
>>220452778>>220452824What he said.
>>220452778>sooner than i thinkwrong otherwise it'd be already available. in 2026 i fully expect it to take a couple months tops. loads of disney movies are still in theatres when they hit disney+ now
>>220452778i may have actually forgotten it existed if you autistic fucking shills didn’t feel like your life depended on making these mentally ill threads
sorry i don't watch anything made after 2010
>>220453189Extremely based and same.
>>220453079I also thought it could have been a bit shorter but it's not like it was boring at any time
Project Hail Mary is literally a ya book. Have the standards for good writing in cinema fallen so hard that this is enough to satisfy the mases?
>>220453372>Project Hail Mary is literally a ya book.pretty sure basically everything is ya material. you just didn't realize it because you were a young adult at the time.
>>220453372>Project Hail Mary is literally a ya bookAs all genre fiction, astute observation
>>220452778I got psyoped by the drinker and his ilk to watch it in the cinema. If I had gone by myself I would have walked out five minutes after the alien Geodude showed up. It is meant for children. Not even highschoolers, just little children
>>220454218>calls others children while he watches reviews of movieskek
>>220454218>>220453372
I watched it last night on my TV. It was reddit but I liked it. It was annoying at times though, the science is completely bogus and dumb in basic fundamental ways, which isn't usually something that bothers me in a movie, but this is a Fuck Yeah Science! movie, the main character is a scientist, he spends a big chunk of the movie doing science experiments. It kept pulling me out of it.
>>220452778Naw, because Ryan Gosling disavowed his blade runner character and is pulling the "I dun wanna be associated with" bullshit like the Wachowskis did for "red-pilling"Long story short, Gosling is a faggot.
unrealistic amounts of women and nogs in every scene is getting to me
It's excellent, I saw it twice in the theater and it was packed during a midday midweek showing.
Marathoned it last night after a few episodes watching Young Sheldon.8/10. Would recommend.
>>220455118>womenUhm women can give tasty milk.>nogsA nog once showed me a cool basketball trickshot. Why am I supposed to hate them again?
>>220452957Haven't seen the movie but I've read the book>there's a bacteria-like organism that absorbs sunlight, causing the Earth's sun to dim dangerously>every other star nearby is also dimming, except Tau Ceti for some unknown reason>he gets sent on a mission to find out why
>>220452778It was ok. Nice ending. Rocky was hilarious, I will admit that. Some glaring potholes but still a lot of creativity with the writing. If they would have cut down on the random real artist music, and the constant quips, it could have been a masterpiece. Instead its a 5.5/10. Thankfully I saw it for free at home, the Imax version.
>>220452957Ryan Gosling teams up with a lil alien fella to figure out how to stop a bacteria that's eating the star in both their systems (or weakening them enough to be a threat to their existence at least.) Fun movie desu- would call it a family movie but kids would probably get bored by all the boring fake science talk.
>>220452778No, looks lame
>>220455299>Some glaring potholes but still a lot of creativity with the writing. The only 'plothole' I saw was why the fuck they didn't try to develop another better ship to either catch up with Gosling or provide support/recover his work if he failed- if I had 30 years to work with I'd be yeeting a ship out every year, better developing the fuel system all the while, maybe even improving it to the point where it wouldn't be a suicide mission anymore.
>>220454664Wait he disavowed his best role?
It's a cynical movie in almost every way. Retards who watch it will be pleased that nothing at all is done to hurt their feelings with the life of the puppet.
>>220455421Been a while since I read the book but from memory Project Hail Mary costs something insane like $12tn and the transformations they do to the planet speed up the damage. Shit they nuke Antarctica at one point.
>>220455520>Project Hail Mary costs something insane like $12tnI think money stops losing it's meaning though when you have every government in the world supporting you & everyone literally dies if the mission doesn't succeed tho. It's not a case of 'oy vey Florida will be underwater if we don't invest in my carbon credits goy'- they literally have hard confirmation shit's fucked if they don't figure it out.
>>220455421yeah, that right there is the plot of the game Alien Legacy... from 1993. (Officially 1994 but I got it in '3)The ship Calypso is sent to "Beta Caeli", which is then lapped by the more advanced Tantalus. But everyone has gone missing from the Tantalus so you in the Calypso, showing up later, have to figure it out, reverse engineer everything, and save humanity.
>>220454550What specific fundamental science stuff did it get wrong?
