Nolan could never

This was considered mid schluck when it came out. Looking back at it now you realise this could never be made today. It’s so fucking over you can’t even believe it.
>>
Funny thing is people most likely complained about the casting back then.
But compared with Nolan's crazy casting decisions this sounds safe in comparison.

10 years from now, Prince of Persia will be seen as a 10/10

did a rewatch last week, by todays standards it's an 8 atleast. It loses the plot after the second act, but it's a very comfy flick.
>>
let's not revisionist this shit as good, it was always a 6/10 at best
>>
This is why I can't take chuds seriously. This is not a good movie. Not then, not now. You fags have awful taste.
>>
>>220459074
it was mostly disliked but compered to the crap and trash coming out now its a masterpiece

The Achilles vs Hector fight is still one of the best duels in cinema. I also like the storming of the beach.

is the director's cut worth it?

Troy has always been more like a weak 7. It's not a masterpiece or anything, but it's a fun movie and pretty much the only big budget production that bronzeaboos have. I feel like this has always been the case and the general consensus since I saw it opening day and I find all this talk about "Troy was never liked" to be weird and revisionist itself.

This was a 6/10 movie when it came out. It's better than 95% of what comes out today.
>>

The only reason why this wasn't really considered that great at the time is because LotR raised the standards way too high

Fish (they're by the sea), goat, cattle, pig, chicken, olives, fruit, major trade route towards Greece so probably had grain flowing through

The only good thing to come out of The Groidysissy being revealed as DEI: The Movie is that Troy is getting some much deserved love 20 years later.

Nolans characters will not hit the same, and mirror the myth's moral story

when will the masses come to realize that Alexander is the best antiquity kino

Nolan is complete trash at writing characters as well. In almost all his movies, characters are 2D cardboard that just serve as vehicles for exposition and for things to happen.

Most extreme examples of this are probably inception and tenet

Came out after Gladiator. Gladiator revulotionized the genre, so it was pretty dated. Was cooly but certanly was not great.
It was a Daredevil situation , it came out after Raimi Spider Man
