Was expecting more future war stuff based on the marketing
Truly an awful movie with a horrible script, garbage CGI and laughable de-aging effects for Jeff Bridges, but I have to admit the ending where the MC pulls his digital waifu out of the Grid and rides off on his motorcycle into the sunset with her on his back was pure kinoHonestly, a movie about her learning how to live in the real world and her budding relationship with the MC would have been more interesting
Dogville. Just a miserable awful experience until the brutal revenge ending. The ending made it worth getting through that whole slog.
>>220474320Remember when Smallville used shots of nukes being launched that were taken straight from T3? They also used some Gotham shots from Batman Begins for Metropolis in that series.
>>220474650Nah, the whole movie was great, and only the de-aging CGI was bad, they rest looked amazing.
>>220474856compared to the groundbreaking production design and digital effects of the original Tron it was nothing special
>>220474951Nah, Legacy looks better than the original.
>>220474320maybe it's because i was like 13 when this released, maybe it's that arnold was still spry enough to pull it off, maybe it's because every single terminator movie that came after has sucked mega ass, but i actually like T3
>>220475016what a horrendously plebeian opinion
>>220474320
>>220474856Nah.
>>220475054Aside from the consistently entertaining Jeff Bridges and David Warner, the original Tron was lame. The solar sailor sequence absolutely fucks the films pacing.
>>220475177irregardless of the plot, the original Tron's aesthetic is gorgeous and timeless, and filled with color. Legacy just looks like 2010s CGI slop and everything is black and blue and orange. You'd have to be blind or retarded to think Legacy looks better
>>220475349Yeah, that bothered me too when I watched the movie when it came out, bot nobody that I knew had actually watched the original so I couldn't explain to them why I didn't like it.
>>220475349I'm gonna step back from the shit-posting for this one and be real, I actually do love the aesthetic of the original Tron. I still prefer Legacy because of the moody night-time atmosphere and constant electrical storm thing, as well as the hard surface, stone meets glass and steel. If I were insanely rich I would have my outdoor area modelled on this, with the pool and everything. I won't say that it's objectively better because it is 100% just a preference thing, but I will say I do agree it could use more colour. If there was a way to fuse the over-all Legacy line work, with the proto-vaporwave colours of the original it would be perfect for me.Also I would love for them to go back and digitally re-composite all of the original Tron elements so that there isn't so much wobble in the matting.
run-of-the-mill found footage spoopy bullshit but kino ending
>>220474951>groundbreaking production design and digital effectsTron was always tranny coded; if they re-made the original today it would literally be called Troon filmed and directed by the Watchoutski sisters with a sissy-hypno soundtrack by "Switch Angel".
>>220474320The fanedit makes the movie tolerable.
>>220474821What a pleb. Her being tortured throughout is absolutely the best part
>>220475587Great pick
>>220475058Still very off putting to this very day if you don’t know what happens with the full reveal at the end. It’s one of the biggest “WTF” moments ever.
>>220474650
>>220475058This When I watched it with my gf in high-school she thought it was some kinda black market pirated movie due to the ending alone
>>220474320Kinda liked the fight scenes between T-800 and T-X. It was goofy, but it also had that "what if two battle tanks would go in CQC" feel.
>>220475058Sigh... barely heard of this movie... is it worth watching for the ending? No spoilers
>>220475058I've started recommending this to people who haven't heard about it. I went into it cold and the ending blew me away. Pure cinema.
>>220474320Taxi Driver
>>220474320It wasn't dogshit. 4 onwards was dogshit. 3 was decent.
>>220474320The Mist (2007)
>>220478926Yeah, it's one of the most iconic and memorable endings as far as slashers go anyway.
Arnie came out at the time and said it was better than T2. He's good at selling bs.
I'm tired of pretending T3 was bad. I love it.
>>220480179Remember when James Cameron came out and said Terminator: Dark Fate was the best one since T2? I wonder how much they paid him to say that
>>220480352That's not saying much.
>>220480352His own fault for not making T3 himself but oh well he made that shitty DiCaprio flick that made a gorillion dollars
>>220480390Even so it was still a total lie since it was easily the worst one yet.
>>220480352A man riding off the goodwill of such a kino early career and squandering it with 20 years of CGI video game avatar slop has an opinion that is less than worthless
>>220474320The ending was better than most of what came before, but it still wasn't "kino".>>220475591>Usual SuspectsYes. Overrated but the ending is quite well done.My suggestion: The Lone Ranger (with Johnny Depp). Absolute crap but the ending has a decent train / horse stunt sequence.
>>220480420That's your own fault for demanding endless sequels to a one off movie that shouldn't have had even one sequel. The story is done and over especially by the second. You were never going to get anything except contrived reasons to keep upping the stakes no matter how silly it is. That's not going to make for good movies.
