wait... where are they?

It's some rutger hauer shit. The battle just happened to take place near this five star view of a different galaxy, they were witnessing C-beams right here.
>>
That's a nova or super nova, not a galaxy
>>
>>220477222
Looks like a planetary nebula to me. Protostar forming in the centre and an accretion disc around it which will slowly become planets.
>>
>>220477285
were there even new star systems forming when Star Wars happened?
>>
>>220477222
That's not a galaxy.
>>
>>220477222
In a galaxy far, far away...

Yet another inane question raised by the dullest franchise in the history of movie franchises. Each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from the rebel alliance as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the saccharine imagery, the series’ only consistency has been its lack of story and ineffective use of characters, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.

Perhaps the die was cast when Lucas failed to make Spielberg direct the prequels; he made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody?just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for his toy lines. The Star Wars series might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.

>a-at least the comics were good though
"No!"
The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."

I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Lucas's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that he has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Star Wars by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are watching Star Wars at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you watch "Star Wars" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.

There are new star systems forming right now. Also, Star Wars is fiction.

Here's Obi Wan looking at a map in AotC. Looks like the galaxy the Empire is in has two "nearby" galaxies. One of them is probably where the fuckhuge hyperdrive ring jumped to in Ahsoka. Too far for a standard hyperdrive, apparently.

They're in the Rishi Maze looking at the main galaxy. Don't believe Disney's "proto-star" bullshit.

In the Star Wars galaxy, looking at their neighbor galaxy.

It’s a meta joke about how we are viewing their adventures on the movie screen

They were in a satellite dwarf galaxy of the main star wars galaxy called the Rishi Maze.

Our galaxy the Milky way also has satellite dwarf galaxies.
>>
>>220478461
Every wonder how they know what our galaxy looks like? They don't, and unless we invent hyperdrive, we won't.
>>
>>220478602
>Every wonder how they know what our galaxy looks like?
No, we have telescopes.
>>
>>220478652
We don't know exactly what the whole Milky way looks like, we can make educated guesses.

How old were you when you realised Star Wars '77 was the only good one?

you could see it in the sky 20-30 years ago before jews ruined the night

Nice lazy copy paste rearrange a few things hackjob on this pasta, but George couldn't hire Spielberg to direct 'Jedi' because Steve was still in the S.A.G. and Lucas told them to fuck off and tore up his membership card after they tried fining him $250'000 because he didn't put the actors credits at the beginning of the movie and held it off until the end. What a bunch of cunts. Typical Hollywood faggotry.

this nigga thinks star wars took place in the past
>>
>>220478602
Educated guesses based on observations of our galaxy and the shapes that tend to form in similar galaxies. I think the consensus on the number of spiral arms in the Milky Way has shifted in recent years.

They're looking at the Milky Way dipshit. The scene is fine and overhated. They're in a Galaxy, Far Far Away, so from their perspective they're looking at a pretty distant galaxy (our's) for scenery.
>>
>>220477493
>Also, Star Wars is fiction.
You don’t know that.

Anon you're eating decade old pasta. Please.

Reminder this is the only shot Lucas contributed to ESB. Its beautiful, but makes no sense.

What would you say is the spiritual meaning of these texts you've posted?
>>
You know if you read sci-fi before and after Star Wars you can really get a sense of what they mean when they say 'Star Wars destroyed the planet'
>>
>>220477222
>it's a proto planet
>it's a nebula
>it's a supernova
Come the fuck on it's obviously a galaxy.
THE galaxy, most likely.
They're hiding from the Empire. They went REALLY far away.
Maybe 3 or 4 galactic diameter away.
Is this not plausible?
They can already travel the whole galaxy, why not 3 or 4 times in a row?

You always thought the "galaxy" in Star Wars was some full-blown spiral but it's actually some little pussy satellite galaxy like the Small Magellenic Cloud. Sorry to let you down.
>>
>>220487311
Yep. Characteristic Rebel behavior pending Revolutionary resolution.. It's really all that easy
>>
>>220480258
I get why people like ESB, but it's pretty much just more star wars. I actually think the twist is stupid. Anakin should not be alive. Lucas wanted to remove Vader as a target for Luke to kill as revenge. However, revealing Obi-wan killed Anakin does that just fine. And that is a way more compelling twist.
>>
>>220487616
We don't call them scum for nothing.
>>
>>220487748
And that's how we like it. I like this finale because briefly it ends with the scum where they belong
>>
Have I told you about this certified very important interpretation of Anakin's life which completely solves the 'chosen one' impasse and explains the entire series? Ask me if you want, it's probably not very important.
