He's got an absolutely masterful eye for some gorgeous photography and shots, but aside from maybe The Fall, its all style over substance. I don't necessarily think style-over-substance is bad, but with a lot of his movies the ratio is way too skewed and it ends up like its just a bunch of neat shots he envisioned scotch-taped together in a daisy chain apropos of nothing. That being said, The Fall is an 11/10 masterpiece, and I'm glad its back out in the world. Though I'm a sucker for movies about movies and film-as-dream.

From what I heard in the past he is fun to work with but kinda like Blomkap, he needs to team up with a good writer to pull off something of quality. Hopefully he still has a few projects in the works, I saw The Cell and The Fall in theaters and both were great visually.
