I'm looking to get into some medieval kino and remembered Tudors. Back when it aired, it seemed like shit made for women, but i'm desperate. Is it actually good?

Seconded. I’ve also wondered about The Borgias
>>
>>220488286
It's solid. There's also another Borgias that was pretty good too
>>
>>220488229
It's a bit slow moving but it is good, I recommend it as a background show you can effectively multi-task with

It's not as female gaze and cheap as stuff like The White Queen or The Serpent Queen, but it has elements like that, for example the men tend to look like modern pretty boys instead of historically accurate 16th century men, and its depiction of King Henry VIII is pretty bad imο, but overall it still tries to be a serious historical drama. I found it very fun to watch and haven't really found anything like it since. Though it's probably the only show I've watched (along with the British House of Cards) where I genuinely hated the protagonist and wanted them to fail, King Henry is a complete pathetic manchild in it.

I heard it was good, idk my mom really enjoyed it lol.
>>220488286
Also heard this was good too.

>>220488286
They made a fucking show about the Borgia family? Does it have Cesare in it? That's insane.

They made 2
Both in 2011 weirdly enough

Watching this show and then seeing female fans of it crush over King Henry, despite him being a tyrannical narcissistic piece of shit, was an early female nature red pill for me.
>>
>>220488286
Since i've watched Borgias this year, let me tell you its shit
Season 1 is correct but the rest is pure shit

>>
>>220488229
Just watch softcore porn, don't bother with this nonsense.
>>
>>220489271
they'll never make a show about King Solomon talking to demons with the seal of Solomon (which is where the star of david comes from)

I liked the idea of the da Vinci tv show but only saw the first episode. Gay sex immediately so be warned.
>>
>>220488229
I tried this year, honestly i didn’t like it desu the lead is really bland its just not very interesting
>>220488286
Its been a while but it was ok, better than The Tudors. Jeremy Irons is good
>>
>>220488675
Redhead looks scrumptious.
>>
>>220488286
This show is actually really fucking good, gay sex scenes or not.
>>

Are you bringing me trouble in court?
>>
>>220488675
And Borgia is surprisingly better than The Borgias
>>
>>220488229
Versailles
>>
>>220491251
funny you say that, it kinda lost me cause the gay sex with cesare's man servant was getting a bit too much
>>
>>220488286
>>220488229
Both are good. I remember the first 2 seasons of The Tudors being the best. Magnificent Century is also interesting to watch to see the turkroach point of view on history.
>>220492265
You gotta push past that bullshit to get to the incest.
>>
>>220488229
tudors is fucking awesome. the Henry actor brings a captivating intensity to the show. lots of hot girls too

>>220488286
the actually good version of this is just called Borgia with Mark Ryder as Cesare, the Irons one feels like a cheap teen drama TV show
>>
>>220488229
The first season is like a 9/10 carried by Sam Neill. The later seasons are kind of meh but I have good memories of this show. Good performances by the Thomas More and Cromwell dudes. Lots of tits and ass unlike today's television. And Rhys Meyers really gives it his all in the last season.
